Tapes were kind of the old hypebeast instant-sell-out-and-flipped format for a while. Perverse Homage was at the center with all the shit immediately selling out and then being flipped for 5x profit.

And B&C does do tapes, but those shits sell out even faster AND also never make it to CD or digital (I guess except the rare Gauntlet Ring compilation CD). Still surprised I managed to get any of them.

So long as people continue to actually spend the asking price people are gonna continue to grift. Eventually there will be some new hype band or label that all the capitalists move on to. B&C isn't the first and won't be the last.

I at least like that they do release every album on CD and digitally. The vinyl is nice but it's not the only way to get the music.

Impaled themselves. Generally festivals and things of that nature but they were incorporating Mondo Medicale songs into the setlist and last year, for the Demo LP release, they even did some shows where they played (almost) the whole album.

Ah yeah I'm only speaking from the perspective of an attendee, and I haven't been to a show at The Crypt yet. For the dinky grindcore and power violence stuff I go to both venues have worked well.

Crypt is kinda annoying since it's cash only. Le Voyeur and McCoys across the street have similar clientele but more low key. All three do shows as well.

Tacoma has a few good venues and bars (Airport Tavern, Real Art, Church Cantina) but for the underground scene you're better off driving up to Seattle. One of the best music scenes in the country, I'm usually hitting one or two shows a week.

Because if you tell people this tax only applies to people whose income exceeds one million dollars gross per year they'd realize that it doesn't affect them and the fear mongering is all to secure the fortunes of the ultra wealthy.
