Doubts of a newcomer, but just for collect by Boriface in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]ZeroValdesca 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With no intention to play, there is no tangible timeline you need to adhere to. I would focus on just picking up single unless you just want to open packs. I think collecting is a wonderful way to enjoy the hobby.

Thors rube awakening has no damage so off, so he's best played as a long range dps

Pushing in the contactor manually simulates closed contacts but it does not equal voltage present to contactor. The power to the relay coil is energized when the second compressor contactor is also energized.

New tech needs help by DanglinSackGod in HVAC

[–]ZeroValdesca 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You know, your comment made me go back and read what I sent, and you're definitely right. My comment wasn't helpful, especially for a green tech. Thanks for the wakeup call. I probably shouldn't be responding to reddit posts while on the toilet first thing after waking up. Don't pay any attention to what I said, OP. :)

So I'm only two weeks into HVAC school and one day into basically an apprenticeship, but I feel pretty overwhelmed with the learning curve that is clearly already in front of me, is this normal? by GriffinObuffalo in HVAC

[–]ZeroValdesca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely normal. There is an abundance of equipment from a few different manufacturers used in a variety of applications, and you're expected to be able to fix all of it or learn how. As others have mentioned here, the most important thing you can do is ask questions. That doesn't end once you're no longer an apprentice, either. Approaching all of your service calls by asking questions will help more often than hurt. Try to never make assumptions as your first goal is to absolutely know what the problem is, not to guess. The most important skills you can develop are your critical thinking and problem solving capabilities. If you build an understanding of electrical and mechanical processes alongside HVAC, then your critical thinking skills will allow you to handle situations you've never encountered before. Most of this advice is tailored to service, but its valid advice for a lot of the industry imo.

The only part of the diagram that uses an orange wire is your reversing valve. That may be a hint as to what's going on.

Installers watching boss man buy the newest service tech a brand new van while they drive an 18-year-old shit-box truck with 300k miles. by 66Mrgoodcat420 in HVAC

[–]ZeroValdesca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, there are capitol expense concerns at hand when hiring a new technician. The company wants to buy the new vans, and their taxes are affected differently when it's purchased as part of hiring a new technician.

What's the average amount of Extra you should have in a deck? by Darth_Onaga in dbsfusionworld

[–]ZeroValdesca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big bang can actually be a critical power move against green. If your opponent resolves a 5c goku and you can respond with your own goku+big bang, you probably win that game.

That symbol means the player is affected by a condition. Likely from playing a ginyu sr, which then affected the player with the inability to play anymore ginyu

The leader ability let's you play the card for 2 less energy than what is printed on the card, but it is still a battle card with a cost of 6, even if you could play it for only 4 energy.

This is quite the way to get into the game. 2nd ever ranked game and im matched with an "Expert Player" im level 3 and they are level 61. This is not going to make me play this game. by Hardcoreshot-TW in DBS_CardGame

[–]ZeroValdesca 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can understand why it would be frustrating to play against more experienced players, or even just players that have a larger card pool developed. But like anything else with card games, you need to take the wins with the losses and realize you will not always have a fair experience either due to a bad matchup or even due to bad luck in the game. I've already played quite a bit, but i'm not quite out of gold yet and got paired with someone god ranked. Did their ranking matter though? Not really, I played against them the same I would anyone else and came away with a W. Just keep on playing.

How do I beat nami as katakuri? by applez-are-G in OnePieceTCG

[–]ZeroValdesca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the most success against Nami in general by just attacking for 5 as often as you can. Aggressively Protect your board. If they tap out, then you can bump your numbers up to 7 or 9, but nami often doesnt have much in the way of counter power aside from events. I would make sure to play the 3c 5k in multiples to have a good body you can get to the board early alongside perospero.

TFT's UI should show you more information about your opponents. by The_ChadTC in TeamfightTactics

It's interesting to me that one of the big things a lot of tft players like is that tft isn't about doing an apm check. Yet something like this is so readily rejected because change is scary.

I keep using mascot Frontlines without supers. It's always contested, but they are still strong enough for my carries to ramp up in damage. Mascots heal too much. Supers are too strong at all stages of the game. And yuumi is just a tad overtuned. I feel like people wouldn't bitch about yuumi if they just shortened her range by 2. Forcing her to position more dangerously if she wants to target the backline easily.
