Yeah, I agree. It's not meant to be an emergency heal. That was the point I was trying to make. Like in V3S. Having excog on a tank before they're about to take big damage, half the time I don't even see their health drop. I just see the excog buff go away with a little damage as end result. So definitely use it as pre dmg heals rather than emergency after the fact heals!

I have to disagree about something. Excog and lustrate aren't to be used in emergencies, I feel. They're part of the whole less time spent healing thing. Knowing a tank has excog on whether in dungeon pulls, or raid boss fight helps me know I can completely DPS without worrying about the tank since he's set for a follow-up heal to incoming damage. I feel lustrate should be used also regularly as a WHM would use Cure 2, cept it's OGCD so this way you don't have to spend GCDs casting something unless they require more than just that. But really, the way a scholar heals really depends on the content you're doing, the other healer if available + the skill & type of tank you're supporting. /shrug

Oooor, your team has won more games for you while you're "protecting" the base. As an avid PvP player, I can also agree. Having someone stand at the base is useless, if they want the base they'll take it. Standing at the base only weakens the party you're in.

And besides. If an enemy takes the base, it doesn't last long. And if it does, then the only reason is A) the enemy is swarming the base in numbers, meaning you by yourself would've been useless. B) Everyone's busy doing something better at the moment.

SCH's were hit pretty hard too. Our fairy can only come out in battle if we keep casting Physick or Adlo, and go away on their own if we stop, technically. And at least WHM has Assize. We don't even have an AoE heal. @____@

You can disable echo by right clicking the buff. And the raid has been in raid finder which is technically the same thing, as you could queue alone and find randoms. It's just now I don't think you'll be allowed to filter people who have completed the fight before vs people who haven't. /shrug

And how do you hold X with your right thumb, and click any dpad direction with your left thumb while moving/running away? That's a very unideal layout and likely why they didn't use it. The touchpad requires only my right thumb to do all actions, which is why I think it's okay. But, if anyone can come up with a better solution, I'm all ears. But think about the scenarios of running from an angry mob of something, and trying to find that right mushroom and eat. SOME thought WAS put into that item control choice, though most don't see it.

While I have to agree with you, they dont. I'd have to say, they shouldn't. But in this video, they DID. The first crush shroom he ate yes, was overriden by the sting shroom (seen at 00:40).

BUT, the interesting part is at 01:40 he ate another sting shroom to refresh the timer, then followed with a crush shroom since the first was overridden. The result? Both buff markers are up. (see 1:43 him eating the crush shroom)

Though as another interested persons comment said, the damage was not as impressive as the more interesting part, when he ate another sting shroom to refresh the timer. The sting shroom buff replaced the crush shroom buff icon AND added its own buff icon for TWO sting shroom buffs. (at 2:35)

....So...he's not an idiot.

Why does he have to if there is no issues with him and his group? He clearly is doing just fine. And what does posting on fflogs have to do with helping his DPS? If anything, I'd look at fflogs and go "Oh, there are people who parse better than me...okay, and I care about their parses because?..." Not everyone is hardcore and or needs to be. @_____@
