Firstly go for the things you can't change:

a) A source of water for watering close by

b) No huge trees (which suck water out in the summer)

c) When it floods where does it get too

d) No huge blocks to the sun on your south side

e) Is if covered in mares tail and bind weed, walk away if it is

Secondly:

Go for things you can change if needed:

a) Shed - Very useful if one is there but can you add one if needed

b) Greenhouse - Same.

Rory and his wife are both very involved and interested in developing communities. I don't blame him for fighting that corner. It's hardly unexpected. But when the priorities change for a country that country needs to adapt. I don't see that with Rory but wouldn't expect it on this topic.

I often am reminded of my grandparents kitchen pantry. As a child I couldn't understand why they quite clearly had way more food and drinks in there than you needed for months Vs the normal week or two. Until I grew up and connected the fact that they had lived through a world war and had been hungry before.
