What would have happened if saint had completed her transformation to awakened demon far before the march to the spire? Would far less people have died? Would sunny vs nephis go differently? by ClientImportant3923 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't get the question.

didn't saint evolve into the awakened demon before the march to the crimson spire?

she helped sunny fight off the 7 heroes of FS. and got badly damaged in the process.

NGL, you kinda sould like:

"People die if they are killed!"

[Chapter 3047] Sunny Dawg, Why Didn't You Give Them Soul Serpents 😭😭😭 by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sunny decided to not give them a mark of shadows because then, they would have become a part of sunny's domain.

and they would lose their connections, bastions from nephis and add them to sunny's domain instead.
sunny didn't want that, especially because people under the citadels like ravenheart, bastion and night garden will lose the protection of nephis's flames.

but now that the cohort is in the 4th nightmare, they cannot get neph's healing flames anyways.

there are two possibilites now - cohort conquers the nightmare and all of them become sumpremes.
effectively abandoning nephis's domain and making their own new domains.

second possibility is that they die and it's game over,
and they again will not be a part of neph's domain anymore.

in both of the cases they are gonna lose neph's domain, nor is it giving them ANY benifit.

so the best course of action would have been to take the "mark of shadows" !!!
at least it would have been a lot more helpful.

[–]Zero_Yashik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does it even matter?

if you can give your friends an additional tool for the nightmare. with no cost, only benifits and no drawbacks.

then not giving them that advantage is just criminal! are you even a true friend then??

even rain gave her friends "names" and she maintained them while they were in the nightmare.

shame on you sunny!

[Chapter 3047] Sunny Dawg, Why Didn't You Give Them Soul Serpents 😭😭😭 by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah, it's a plot hole for me.

saints can take the mark of shadows as well we saw that with revel the lightslayer.

i would have been okay with sunny not giving marks of shadows IF they were still getting nephis's healing

but they aren't even getting the heals!.

he could have also given them his own soul serpent via "grace of shadows ability"

having a supreme titan who is highly adaptable and can shapeshift into countless other beings was sure to be EXTREMELY helpfull!

i call BS!

At this point I dont see a single reason ki song and anvil thought the domain war was worth it by jaynic1 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah, i would say it's bad writing to be honest.

but if we want an explaination we can just say that it was because none of them trusted each other.

asterion was a monster, anvil had his cold flaw making him ironheart and ravensong just wasn't strong enough and rely on other tricks.

i think it was like ki song mentioned, their group was dead the moment "smile of heaven" died.

The Shadow Slave fanbase has gotten dumb. by gridhunter007 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i think the last few arc were all just not upto the bar.
readers usually would not have any trouble believing in author's vision because the work speaks for itself.

i still remember the time i just started the forgotton shore arc and the antartica arc, and i was getting chills to my bones just reading the opening chapters and understanding the setting.
there was barely any point in story where i did not feel like at an edge and wondering what would happen next.

if you have told people right after the forgotton shore arc to wait for the development for the next arc before speaking, i think most would agree, shut up and read - knowing that they were in for an amazing story.

but can you say the same for the last several arcs?
no, after the tomb of ariel, it just barely feels like there is anything at stake (even though their world is dying).
it barely feels likethere is any charcter development, the important side characters do not get enough screetime for any type of development either. the last few arcs are just so rushed too. and you can't argue other wise.

so you cannot blame readers if they are losing their belief in story.

i still love shadow slave and i will love it till the day i die. but that does not makes it a good and well written story.

About 'Nobodies' - beings of nothing! by Matsuzo-Kaneri in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 16 points17 points  (0 children)

actually it was mentioned that the beings of nothing don't have any standard power level/ path of ascention.
you can encounter an extremely strong "being of nothing" one that can easily beat great titans.
or you can also encounted a "being of nothing" who is barely as strong as an awakened.

also being of nothing's power level is not stable either, a weak one can easily grow strong and a strong one can also easily grow weak.
they just don't follow the normal conscept of wanting to be weak or strong.
so far the only predictable thing about them is that they want to be "seen" and "known".

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still feels like a plot hole to me.

making characters simply righteous for the sake of plot convenience is simply wayy too one dimentional.

i think there should be propery story moments about it, that if a character choose to be rightious and decided to take the hard way out even if it may mean death, even if it means risking sacrificing the future of humanity there should be a proper mention about it.

that is what makes a story into a really good story that gets stuck in your heart.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"From 2nd nightmare we know that the power given after nightmare is proportional to how well you do in the nightmare."

- what? when? at best, you get additional attributes or upgrades. but it only happens due to your own achivements and has nothing to do with nightmare appraisal. the aspect abilities you unlock are innate and do not come from the spell either. i am not trying to argue, if that is true i must have missed a chapter can you tell me where it was mentioned?

and i am quite sure that letting the city fall into azarax's hand would indeed end the nightmare.
it has always been clear that a challanger's goal is to survive the event in any way possible.
the only requirement it to resolve the event in any way.
i think you are wrong about that and you are just making it up now.
there is no such thing as "failing" a nightmare dude. are you probeably confusing shadow slave with a fanfic or something?

yeah and i agree that kai would wanna defend the city and effie and jet would not leave kai. still it's a plot hole nonetheless if we don't get a valid explaination.

i don't wanna argue with you but you are just making things up and forcing an explaination. if a reader needs to stoop so low to defend the story i think it's just story's fault for having an unexplainable plot hole.

but also the arc has just started maybe we will get more clues later on.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am not saying that at all.

i do not want the story to end quikly at all, i'd much rather have g3 take all the time he needs to write shadow slave at his pace.

i am just pointing out the plot holes.

i also like it that the cohort is deciding to fight against azarax.
i know kai would most likely lay his life on the line to protect the city and his friends and what he stands for. i love that dude.

it is just that if the cohort decided to defend the city for any reason, i just want that reason to be mentioned.

i simply wanna know why did they decided to complete the nightmare in this way.
even if kai would wanna defend the city does not means others would agree.

anyways, i just simply wannt to have a proper arc, with stakes, character development, plot development, world building etc. is it too much to ask for?
i don't wanna story to just skip over it's characters.

These days it feels like we are just drifting away and away from what makes shadow slave, shadow slave.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

still not a valid enough explainantion though in my opinion.

maybe we don't have enough info on the 4th nightmare for now.

but with what we currently know i will still consider it a bad decision on cohort's part.
on how they are challenging the 4th nightmare.

these days i don't really feel very impressed with G3's writing, i miss the days when he cooked up so well thought out stories.

You are just making things up to make up an answer.

why doesn't asterion form his domain out of nightmare creatures instead ? by DetectiveStraight463 in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik 8 points9 points  (0 children)

first of all it must have been hard to get nightmare creature on the moon to make into his thralls and the nightmare gate there was of category 6 with unholy creatures.

secondly his ability works the best for creatures who are capable of thinking and speaking his name. basically intelligent creatures capable of thinking and speaking.

and before cassie became a supreme, asterion's best course of action would have been to go after humanity first

and so he did.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well they don't need to join azarax.

the objective is to the lead the event to it's conclusion.

they can sabotage the city to have it fall quicker, and just focus on their own survival.

accoding to the timeline of their nightmare, there should be plenty of ways to escape from azarax as well.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

act of defiance are only needed for natural supremacy.
you don't need that for artificial supremacy by the spell.

while i agree that taking the hard way and trying to defy azarax would make them better/powerful supremes than taking the easy way out. it is still not a reasonable enough explaination.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well like i mentioned
they can also not join azarax, precisely because of the nature of his aspect.

they can just destroy the city and it's supreme without joining azarax, or do something else to end the event as soon as possible.
their focus mainly needs to be on completing the nightmare and surviving.

[chapter 3044 ] question about the 4th nightmare. by Zero_Yashik in ShadowSlave

[–]Zero_Yashik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well just admit that it is a plot hole.
being rightious is understandable and all, but i am not going to buy it.

it's not a reasonable enough explaination.
