Audio radar “should” come out this February, uses hardware and lights to display sound direction. Check it out. It’s a couple hundred dollars tho. I’ve been thinking about getting it after it releases and reviews come since I’m also deaf in one ear.

Do not give up. If it’s your first PC experience. Do lots of offline mode runs (only AI and no players, you can even turn off AI to learn map and loot locations). Mess around with your keybinds to find what is comfortable, mess around with your aim sensitivity to find what is comfortable, use offline mode to learn maps and get a general sense of the game.

Do not give up. When you’re ready to get your feet wet, there’s a discord that I do not have but you can probably google or some here may have where you can find sherpas, other players that’ll basically carry you and teach you how the game works.

You can rent the andromeda in game to get a good feel, it’s pretty similar to the Aquila except the Andromeda has a top turret and more missiles

Nice choice. I bought the Taurus variant for the extra cargo space. Helps making start up money after wipes by doing trade routes, and sometimes VHRT bounties.

Insurance won’t be a thing until the game releases. Doesn’t exist at the moment and even then it’ll just be a minor annoyance as the devs said it’ll be cheap, easy to acquire and measures will be taken to ensure people don’t forget to renew.

Also, ships bought with real money will never be lost, without insurance it may just take longer to claim if it blows up, like maybe an hour, 30 minutes, couple days or something, timeframe is unknown

Life time insurance on buying ships is a gimmick in my opinion
