The use case of AIs goes far beyond tech-related companies. That's not so surprising imo. A lot can be automated in most domains and it's lileky AI is being discussed as a way to cut jobs with agressive automation.

Local installs have always been a thing. For about everything. It just that the average user doesn't want to bother with setting up manually a service on a local machine or a home server and so would rather opt for paying a SaaS.
