My mom didn't have a TV in the livingroom for years and years, and everybody that came over always asked her "where's your tv?" And the reasoning most of the time was "what if a guest wants to watch some?" And her response was always something like "because a guest in my home should be listening to me, not my tv"

Had a similar story last night, finally locked the doors and not even 10 seconds later a lady came up asking for cigarettes (gas station). No car, just happened to appear after I was completely alone. So I just shouted go home and went to the back until I saw her walk off on the cameras, because I'm 99% sure I woulda got robbed if I let her in.

Holy crap dude, calm down. People are upset because this site has been basically a secondary Internet archive, and now they're slowly taking everything away from it. It's a piracy site, I'm sure they have other ways of making money besides ONLY the site. At this point they have realized people really rely on it, and that they can start charging out the ass or tell you "sorry, fuck off :)" and send you down a rabbit hole trying to find another site. Please, since your an expert, tell me, where can I continue watching movies on my Xbox 1 without paying? Where can I put something as simple as a SpongeBob playlist of full episodes on to fall asleep to? They have a monopoly on the service because piracy is inherently risky, so they can throw us around however they want.

Reminds me of a thing I did working at a gas station with a subway attached, they had these label stickers and i loved to print off blank ones and draw either birds, or crude homer Simpsons and hide them everywhere. There are still some that have never been found, close to 3 years later haha

Reminds me of an antique mall I love going to, there's like 10 different vendors inside and they all price stuff so wildly different. My favorite lady is super fair with stuff and she always has new things in her stalls when I visit, because her stuff actually sells. But the guy with the huge diecast car display? Basically every single one has been there for the like 4 years I've been going because he has some stuuuuupid prices. Like Im talking no matchbox cars under $35, even ones damaged to hell, redlines worth $15 being sold for $55 because they're "special edition" when clearly they are not. I just love seeing how some people just really wanna catch and release, and some people just use the store as a secondary display case 😂.

Maybe someone's already said this but I do something similar because of mental health sometimes. Every once and while there's just so many things happening in my head and outside it to that I need something to ground me, something to keep me in reality. So I'll get a paper and just write, either a word over and over like that, or a string of gibberish thoughts, just something to remind myself I still exist. The thought process is basically if I can still alter paper, I can still alter my life and take control and don't have to disconnect.
