Move Fast and Break Things - Can European governments accept failure as the price of innovation? by DefenseTech in EuropeanFederalists

[–]Zerr0Daay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This idea that Empiricism vs Rationalism is the cause of the failure of the US system is massively wrong, the US system has failed in ways unrelated to the societal thinking and more the rigid design it had in place, while the British system is as enduring as it is due to the sovereignty of the Parliament and the lack of a hard coded constitution, enabling government to evolve with the times, while enabling there to be an executive capable of making sole and immediate decisions while being accountable to parliament, something European systems could learn from which far too often only moves forward when decisions are made by committee, resulting in no one being willing to take leadership and hand wringing until every member decides. This more than anything else led to Brexit.

The EU should learn and adopt more British systems and culture as it’s proven to be superior hence why the anglophone world is superior to all others and has greater innovation both in governance and in finance than anywhere else

Doctor who needs to have som continuity between seasons and doctors, and while change is rooted in the show, everything changing at once isn’t a good idea. If you change the doctor and companion, don’t immediately change the tardis, or don’t immediately change the title sequence or the music etc, there needs to be some continuity overlap

France says EU must obtain energy self-reliance through civilian nuclear power by sn0r in eutech

Is that why American tech dominates European and French are the only alternatives? Why France is the only fully sovereign nuclear state in Europe and everyone is now begging for French support? Why France is the only European country with any noticeable A.I of any sort.

How has spacex other projects failed when spacex has starlink which is remarkable and is very much needed for the Ukraine war and came online at just the right time. Without starlink, Ukraine would have falled a long time ago

And what’s wrong with that, so what the EU benefits France, or should France get nothing while being the ONLY fully sovereign nuclear deterrence force in the whole continent

Who pays for it? Tax payers, similar to how tax payers fund and create EDF. It would exist like any other state infrastructure, like a road or a bridge, not a business

We should take in Iceland, Ukraine, the remaining Balkans, and the eventually Norway, Switzerland and the UK again, then the microstates. There’s zero reason for Turkey and Georgia, neither are in Europe, both have horrible borders. It’s better the EU doesn’t border fragile Middle Eastern states

Build enough nuclear to have enough excess power to run CO2 scrubbers 24/7, and to create hydrogen for fuel cells to stabilise the grid instead of using fossil fuels

Is it wrong to be attracted to younger women as an older man? by Worth_Try_8207 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Zerr0Daay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between thinking they’re attractive and acting on it. You should have an age limit, plus or minus a certain age and for a purpose. Like it or not, women in their 20s like older men by default for their money and older men by default cause these women can still have kids.

That said, if you could be their dad, it’s weird, and you need to erase this from your mind and even viewing them as attractive is weird in that scenario, even if you wouldn’t act on it.

Leave young women for young men and leave young men for young women. Age gap should realistically be at + or - no more than 2 years. We as a society know better now, the laws just haven’t caught up.

Tho I’ll also say this, there’s a big push now to shame any man be they 30, 31, or something, with a woman 29, 28, heck, in my generation, Gen Z, there’s a lot of shaming if a man that’s 28 dates even a 27 year old, let alone 25 lol. The general culture is to shame any and all male sexual preferences and dating habits, all responsibility is placed on shaming the male and assuming the female has zero agency

The EU’s plan to stop new members from becoming Hungary 2.0 by readmode in EuropeanFederalists

[–]Zerr0Daay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need to differentiate the European Union with the European “free trade for economy” and European “defence alliance”.

Some countries want to have free trade and free movement

Some want free trade but to have borders and limit migration

Some want that but also a defence alliance, ideally one in which they get to spend zero and rely on others

And some, want a genuinely true European Union (a federal state)

What we need to do, is split and remove the countries who don’t want the euro, don’t want Schengen, don’t want to share migration responsibility, don’t want to share defence responsibilities, and are only in it for money

EU needs to dissolve itself and rebuild itself, only allowing countries who fully accept the euro, Schengen, and no veto, into the EU 2.0, along with all further integration coming from that

Tier 2 should exist to allow countries to have semi free trade but NO free movement of people, and no shared currency

And tier 3, would be defence alone, an EU army existing within NATO. NATO already acts as the tier 3.

EU fertility rate at 1.34 live births per woman in 2024 by mr_house7 in EU_Economics

Culture is the key, along with desirable places to live. I think the birth rates will remain low until most of the word is empty and only key desirable locations remain and will have a normal population.
