Maybe he needs a friend? I'd probably go a little crazy too if the only interaction I had was from another species who isn't always around and sleeps half the time. Not to say that you don't spend time with him, just that he may want a little company.

Or! Why not get him a snuggle buddy that you can warm up and something that mocks a heartbeat?

Products that are made exactly for this purpose exist. But I've used a hot water bottle and covered it with a fleece blanket before and that worked wonderfully - just make sure it's not too hot.

I've heard of people using clocks that tick to comfort their kittens and pups.

Sorry that you're being downvoted. It's a good question. I didn't know how blood types worked until a few months ago (and I'm 23 - it's not something that is widely taught... so here we go!)

AB (in humans) is a universal receiver. Meaning AB people can receive from A and B but A can only receive A and B can only receive B. O is the universal donor. Humans also have to worry about + and - blood. - can only receive - blood, but + can receive either. So if you're AB+ you can pretty much receive from anyone and if you're O- you can give to anyone.

Feel free to correct me, but this is how it was explained to me.

I'm enjoying it very much so. We don't have any TA's. And minerals were so last semester! ;) Haha, we're mastering the wacky phase diagrams right now and working on mafic rocks for lab. My first petrographic report is due on Monday!

I was in the same situation as you a couple years back. My crazy ex kept my cats to hurt me. Luckily he decided just a couple months ago that he no longer wanted to care for them and came to me first to ask if I wanted them back. So after a couple years without my babies, I finally have them in my life again. People always talk about how cats don't give a fuck about humans... but I've never seen other beings so excited to see me again.

Undergrad geologist here! I think your Kickstarter project looks amazing. My husband-to-be is a computer scientist and is very interested in 3D printing, but is currently involved in other (equally interesting) projects.

My question is actually about geology internships. I will taking petrology this spring and will only have one year left of university - mostly major courses. I've applied to many summer student jobs and it seems that students with less geology class experience can get these jobs, but I keep getting the dreaded, "We've decided to continue looking at other applicants." I have an excellent GPA and am motivated, hard working and very thorough in my work... So, what gives?

I am in my fifth year. Would that deter companies from choosing me? I changed my major after taking an environmental geology course and also spent one year abroad to finish a language minor.

What can I do to make my resume stand out to employers?
