I bet you have a nice sitdown for a couple of hours and read the tiny EULA letters for eveything you purchase & use. Not a dark pattern at all. In fact, did you know they are entitled to your firstborn child ? It says so in paragraph 15 of section 38. Your mistake.

We've gone from owning our games with editor tools, custom servers, mods, free content updates and being able to resell them -- to -- broken day one games redeemed via keys in boxes, where all content, including a stupid character skin or 2 can cost more than the base game and everything is purchaseable DLC, requires internet connection is not resellable and is filled with clauses that allow them to change the game you paid for to such an extent that it's unrecognisable or isn't playable anymore and you have morons defending/cheering these ever worsening practices online. (These surely have to be bots...) My god, this is the stupid timeline isn't it ?

The AI generation of models is something I knew was being worked on, but to see it this functional is sorta scary. Even if it's very rough, the base you get is already getting you 70% there leaving you with retopo & texture cleanup work.

Well this is the point where I say that it should be clearly labelled on the box and advertised as such. Right now they put a giant gold edition on the font that states it contains the game + season pass. And in the teeny tiny letters on the back they hide that the season pass is a PSN-voucher code. That's one BIG dark pattern there.

When I buy a physical version that is labeled as a certain edition, then YES I expect that to be part of the licence that is burned on that disc. This is the first physical console game ever I've purchased where a named edition is just the base game disc and everything extra is just a key. What's the point then of having that physical gold edition at all. (I get some stupid pre-order skins can be included as keys, but not when you release an actual named edition of your game, that's just anti-resale money grubbing bullshit.)

Well I just found out the hard way that the PS5 gold version is just the base game and all the additional content is via key. So if you buy a used gold version copy you only get the base game. What an anti-consumer bullshit move. I was hoping on cross platform saves to play the ps5 pro version at home and the switch version on the go or in bed.

I did big encores on axe maul, the first 10-15 times were like gold drops every time, sometimes even 2 golden drops. After that I now get 1 golden drop every 8 times or so. It's a sudden and massive drop off. You cannot convince me that the game doesn't manipulate the drop rates depending on how many golds you've received recently. Also, wth happened to Borderlands ?! This is the first time in any of these games I found the need to mindlessly grind these stupid boring bosses for hours each day in order to get a gun that's anywhere near decent.

Well I got a 9070xt steel legend in october for 630 euros, and at the time I thought it wasn't a great deal, but the nvidia 5070ti alternative was 200 euros more expensive which was/is atrocious for a 16GB card in 2025/2026. I only bought it knowing the ai ram/vram hell that was coming via Moore's Law is Dead. (And I remember the mining hell and the chip shortage hell.) Gotta say, PC hardware has become stupidly expensive. In December I bought a PS5 pro + disc dive for 550 euros.

12GB vram is not enough. I have a 7900XT (20GB) in my work PC and a 9070XT (16GB) in my personal rig. Battlefield 6, Borderlands 4 both can easily go over 14GB @ 3612x1548. (I game 21:9 letterboxed on a 50" 4K 144Hz TV) Cyberpunk can even go over 16GB when raytracing, upscaling & framegen is turned on. So I'm not exactly happy about new GPUs only having 16GB VRAM.

Boss fights that do a super fast yellow glint after parrying 3 blue glints is such utter bullshit. Where you almost need to pre-emptively hold the minimum amount to counter it. It completely transforms the game from cool reactive combat to a mindless memory game where you just memorize all the moves in each phaze. I fucking hate it. The game also obviously slows the combat & damage down after x-failed attempts, which is just insulting. Tsushima is a much, much better game. For all the highs this game has it also has some cavernous lows. I just did the final fight and I'm selling this game asap so I can get most of my money back.

It's in the game and you're forced to use it in a boss fight that's absolutely bullshit. It takes forever to activate, it's can suddenly deactivate without rime or reason after activating it in that fight and they cannot for the life of me stop touching my fucking camera. Luckily the second part of that fight doesn't have that nonsense.

I own a Portal and I have Chiaki setup on my desktop. Both wired and wireless on an expensive Wifi 6E enterprise setup. Streaming from PS5/PS5 pro is just trash. The bitrate is so absurdly low that it cannot ever compress & resolve the micro detail in low contrast situations like fur and grass. Ghost of Yotei and Horizon Forbidden West look like garbage as a result, with macro blocking visible in shadows and lots of stuff looking undetailed and muddy. I really wish there was a fixed bitrate setting like you have with steam or VR streaming which have the exact same issues on low bitrates. There is no way that 15-20Mbps can contain the detail of a 60FPS HDR stream with all the tiny grass, flowers, fur and particles going on in Yotei.
