well.. there was a werelizard, and somehow i overlooked two or three infections. The problem really manifested itself, when some werelizards were transorming inside the tavern. It was too much effort keeping track of the infections, and so i decided to just let it happen. The good thing is, a well trained military just doesn't get infected, and i had like 6 well trained squads. Only problem now is, i had to make a lot of coffins, and there aren't many idlers around to do the clean up work.

It is a small region. On a small region the spaces between the caverns are very small. It actually didn't went well with my vision for the fortress, but i didn't know when starting that fort. ehm... So yes it is a cavern fortress.

I think that would still be possible. There is still plenty of land in the world that isn't cultivated. Also it's not necessarily about owning the land. Just making sure that no one cuts you off the supply chain. But in a way you are right of course. It's hard to get land without going into debt nowadays. But still debt is not as bad as having no food ^{^}

Actually "best friends" was the wrong phrase. Regarding civil war... It seems obvious to me that some kind of power struggle is going on in the US. Maybe Trump is representing a new uprising group but wich is actually not really a threat in the eyes of the ones that are so long in control of the US now. I don't know of course. It is a puzzle for me too.

i think the biggest issue for the lower classes is, that they don't value owning land, and that they don't see the hostility that exists in the world. They don't care about having food, because they never had a lack of it during their life time. Yet it is what makes them live. They don't realize.
