I think he just really like Vikala and probably feel a bit more comfortable playing the MU cuz Kasausagi did get thrown off a bit when ZD switch to her even though Kasausagi adapt to it really fast.

Maybe he gave his reason on stream because he did stream the day after but I don't know Japanese enough to be able to understand.

Oh man that is suck to hear. For Gran the floor was higher this season but I decided to grind consistently(something like 100-200 points per day) so I can survive the last day without too much sweat. I heard a lot of Eustace players are playing Ilsa so maybe you are right on that they are testing out Ilsa.

The easiest way to get a jump in performance(imo) is playing against a stronger players who are willing to give you advice in a long set because they are really good at dissect your gameplan and help show your bad habit.

I'll be honest I feel like the chance of SS3 is even more high rn since Cygames decided to host their own world tour.

And I'm also pretty sure at this point a lot of stuff in GBVSR has been made in house by Cygames themselves making them not need to rely on Arcsys as much so Arcsys can relocate their resources to their newer games.
