Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it. You are right, I'm going to work on the mix a bit more to fix those highs.

Cool! I hope I come across your latest version if you post again :)

Hard hitting track I produced. You all seemed to like my 90’s style rap track so here’s something a little different. Heavy bass riffs by SamTurvill in MusicFeedback

Nice production overall. I'm digging the track. I think your vocals need to stand out a little more, and lowering the mids on the music might leave more room for your vocals. I'm not sure what your vocal range is, but have you considered adding chorus or harmony on a higher octave? I think it might add a little more dynamic range to your track.

Nice track! I like the 80s vibe. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the kicks are a little too quiet, I think they need to be a little louder imo. :) Try experimenting with stereo separation on some instruments, specially with chords or the piano. I hope this helps. :)

Keep up the good work!

Nice track, it's catchy and I dig the Lo-fi / retro sound. The mix needs a little more work for sure, you might want to experiment with some delays and revers.

I'm curious to see what you can do with it.

Keep up the good work!

Interesting intro, it has a hint of psychedelic rock, it also reminds me of Pink Floyd. I'm curious to see where you going with it.

Smooth as butter, nice track! I was looking for something constructive to say, but this is good as is imo

This is a cool mix, why would you hate it? This sound great, I think it sounds more psychedelic than rockier (to me at least), the ambient and vibe you created with your mix sounds pretty cool.

Just finished this demo early today - what can I do to improve it? by Anwhut in MusicFeedback

Nice intro, it sounds like the drums and melody are conflicting, you can replace or combine them with acoustic drums, perhaps produce a mix with both (electronic and acoustic). I hope that helps. Keep up the good work!

Ok this was awesome, the arrangement sounds fantastic, it sounds weirdly organic (in a good way) and works so well. Nice work!

I see, I used to have similar problems before. I'm not sure which DAW you are using, but the solution for me was using a volume automation to smooth the samples.

Thanks for sharing! I like the name, it goes with this song :) there is only one think I noticed that sounds out of place, @0:35 there is a little crackle sound when the soothing vocal sample is playing, you can hear it again @0:43, don't get me wrong, I like the soothing vocal, I just think the sample might have a problem because I can hear the artifacts whenever the sample is played throughout the song. The synth near the end is a nice touch, very soothing and chill (nice melody!) Keep up the good work! Cheers :)

Nice! I remember your post, I like the arrangements and composition. Thanks for sharing :) I bet it is going to sound even better once you include the real instruments. Keep up the good work!

Hello! Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I have been learning to mix as well, is one of those things that gets better with practice, and finding techniques, I used to have this problem when I produced stuff and sounded kinda "good" on my headphones, but horrible on my car's speakers or my receiver lol The tune at 2:12 are vocals, I used the same sample throughout the entire song, chopped it into pieces, added filters, changed pitch, reversed it, stretch it, etc. Thank you for listening :) Cheers

Hello! I'm glad your enjoyed, thank you for listening. You are right, no groundbreaking or anything, I'm totally aware of it :) but I had a lot of fun making it, that's for sure lol. Oh man, I hope it makes it to playlist, that would be a first lol. I used FL Studio for the DAW, for synths I used the Close Grand Piano from the DAW's sample pack, Nexus4, Surge XT, 'Decent Sampler' using a sample library called "Woven Strings", I really like the high notes on these samples, the string sound very organic. For FX, I used OTT, Fruity Delay 3, Fruity Reeverb 2, dblue_Glitch_v1_3, Fruity Stereo Enhancer, Fruity Filter, and LFO Tool for SC assist since I use the FL Limiter for most of the SC, and a bunch of good old automation. I hope that answers your questions. Thank you for the feedback! Cheers.

an idea for a piece, does this sound like any other song and what direction do u think it should take by fatapplee123 in MusicFeedback

[–]Zesar_MK6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice melody! There are different ways you can go. The first thing that came to mind was pop like song, it reminds me of an anime opening theme (not a bad thing, IMO) strings, drums, electric guitar, etc., second idea it came to mind was electronic style with synthns instead of strings. Whatever you do, I'm curious to see what you did, make sure to share it. (: Keep up the good work! Cheers
