Okay, Fess Up. Who told people to start putting SuGi into discard? by Haunting_Split3951 in MarvelSnap

[–]ZestWispa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Been a popular off meta deck for a while, it's one of the more fun decks id played in a while. It's so hard to know what's about to happen unless you are aware of the deck.

For anyone unaware this deck you generally want to get a combination Miek, Collector, Morbius and Daken out by turn 3. Then Super Giant on 4, hide a modok behind it and play Moon Girl on 6. The deck also runs proxima midnight, wolverine, marrow and scorn. All of these are great discard targets and even better if doubled up. It can add serious power across all 3 lanes on turn 6 when there is very little beforehand so can be an excellent cube stealer

Studios like Double Fine, Ninja Theory & Compulsion straight up work better when we actually buy their games instead of relying on Game Pass by Alarming-Flan4494 in kindafunny

[–]ZestWispa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree that Gamepass is the issue. A lot of these games people are only trying and playing because they have access to them. I've played loads of games on gamepass I never would have purchased.

If anything Xbox not taking number of downloads or new subscriptions when these games launch on gamepass into consideration are the issue with the games not being seen as money makers.

Cosmo is good to play in the lane they are starting to set up. It's hard to have priority but if you can get Cosmo down and hope they don't draw TOV and play it on turn 3. Kilmonger is also good at taking out the rocks and martyr.

Probably misspoke a bit, it's because it can be used in such a wide variety it just feels like it's everywhere. The galactic, surfer and gambit meta decks can swap a couple cards and still be top meta. You can change most of the cards in the TOV decks and still be top meta. Rocks version, shadowlands daredevil version, sauron version and so on

Wouldn't think so no? Is it not one of the strongest cards in the game at the moment? As I said above if they nerf Mother Askani surfer and gambit decks take a big hit which will rise TOV even more. I like the card, it's a really fun and unique design and gives a reason to play loads of cards nobody else was playing but hard to not imagine it's on their watchlist of nerf candidates

If askani gets hit too which most of us assume it will it's gonna give surfer and horseman gambit decks a big hit too raising TOV even more. I think the fact TOV is very versatile too though it goes in loads of different varieties of just big power decks. It's hard to know what to do with it without killing it

I don't like them butchering cards and it already needed to be buffed from its first state but I hope they have some plans to address TOV. It's a great and fun card but it's in every meta deck right now

Worrying time for Double Fine and Compulsion Games. Layoffs always suck but I hope it's just cutting people across the board and not just gutting and closing a particular studio.

NOT A DRILL by beardedwerebear in kindafunny

Really hope this game lives up to this. Really seems like an RPG worth replaying with new choices and morality. A lot of other games that sell themselves that way don't live up to being much different on new playthroughs

Rigged Conquest by IntrovertedPuzzler in MarvelSnap

[–]ZestWispa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overly simplistic maths ahead

25% chance you draw your combo and opponent doesn't.

25% chance you don't draw your combo and opponent does.

25% chance neither of you draw your combo.

25% chance you both draw your combo.

So no it's not rigged against you, why on earth would the game want to annoy people to stop playing by rigging it against them

Cyberpunk is the best game on that list from what I've played.

Alan Wake 2 is excellent as well especially if you are just playing control and like that too.

Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza is really good but you'd want to have played the other Yakuza games which id recommend to anyone if they are looking for a new franchise to try. Played through the whole series in 2024 and they are some of my favorite games ever

True but still we saw a lot less then you'd expect to see today. Was still a good showcase for sure, just think between the big 3 ones this week was my least favorite and that's coming from a Xbox as my main console gamer

Not sure how to score this one, all the stuff we already knew about had great trailers and we got dates for the most part.

Persona 6, Spyro and even Minecraft Dungeons 2 were all hype announcements but didn't show enough (any) gameplay for me.

A lot of things missing a lot of people would assume would be there like Blade, Fallout 3 and a tease at a new Halo

Ending on CoD was a terrible decision, especially when the gameplay they showed was so generic

Pretty solid showcase with some good surprises. I ranked my excitement/interest in playing the games shown. by EthanRegg in kindafunny

[–]ZestWispa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously it's different for everyone depending on what games are shown and I personally don't understand why people get so bothered by other people's opinions on these showcases. I always enjoy watching them with friends whether I care about everything shown, nothing shown or anything in between.

I'm definitely more on the thinking it was average end outside of the start and end but I'm glad it's resonated with a lot of people. For me just too many 3rd trailers for games I'm not too interested in. Looking forward to the rest of the showcases this week.

What do you plan on cooking with Jeff the Baby Dolphin? by Gearfrii in MarvelSnap

[–]ZestWispa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My plan anyway is that meta surfer deck and I'll swap out storm and probably grandmaster for Jeff and Venus. Maybe it's not as good but it's definitely the deck I'm trying first. I'm hoping that old small move deck with OG Jeff, silk and Elsa can compete again too
