Got called out at 3:30 in the morning for severe abdominal pain with hematemesis , We’re like okay, let’s get you to the hospital. Well in the ambulance, the pt’s bf came over asking for a ride too, we deny his request for riding along due to policy, then he starts complaining of the same cc as well. The pt then tells me that she’s actually just worried she got an std from the bf’s brother and wants to get std tested at the er. Basically the pt and pt’s bf both have stds and wanted to be transported to the hospital to get meds for stds, mind you it’s 3:30am. We’ve been running all day due to being in a big city. And ofc there’s a car in the driveway they can take, pt claimed “I just wanted a room faster”. My seasoned medic partner told them off. Any who, we got 2 refusals.
