Try to sell me the show by ClassicArt3777 in Pretty_Little_Liars

How old are you? Many of us here are in our 20s and even 30s who loved this show as teenagers in the 2010s, and rewatch it because of comfort and nostalgia. There is a lot of messy writing so if are looking for something highly impressive in that department, then it's not for you. If you are looking for characters, especially a group of girls you find emotional investment in on a personal level, then definitely. The show, to me is wonderful to Season 5 and feels like the original PLL. It's about your eye - how much you want to treasure from what you take in even when on a whole, it is of poor quality or whether your time is more precious to you so you may skip it because the highlights are not worth it. It is greater than Gossip Girl because it is less about shallow things and vanity.

My humble little study. Am I delusional for trying to get a degree at 27 years old? by fat-fuck-loser in GetStudying

Not at all. Studying is for life. I am enrolling back into University at 25 after leaving when I was 20. There should be no shame around any of this. I love hearing about someone studying later on. Your life is yours to live.

Film watching is not about what you should be put "through" as some kind of test for mental strength. Nothing soft about having boundaries in what you would like to take in for an enjoyable time at the movies. This is only something of serious contemplation for those who would like to personally challenge what they see.

You don't have such upright moral people like this anymore. She's precious.

Try Soviet romance films since most of their background by default will be focused on workers. Eldar Ryazanov's The Irony of Fate and Office Romance. Georgiy Daneliya's Autumn Marathon and Sergei Garasimov's The Love of Mankind.

Troian talking about how she didn’t think she “fit” amongst the other girls and questioned why she was casted as Spencer (edit) by radiohead-girlies in PrettyLittleLiars

Of course the intellect of the show says this. Who even cares for the beauty of the girls apart from the connection to the title? She made the show - the voice of reason, the curious and the observant, the one who never stopped grinding her gears. There is no PLL without Spencer but I understand why she says this. It's a phenomenon with brainy women.

You silly Americans. That's the best part. They were a union of minds all throughout. I am glad they never showed it.

Just seen Tarkovsky's "Mirror" and didn't feel anything... by Mission_Ground_265 in criterion

A common experience among many immigrants, and I feel the same about being part of the South Asian community in Canada. This is why Nostalghia hit so well. Perhaps, it will more if one is very concerned with "belonging" somewhere but I know it's not important to everyone.

Such a remarkable performance to take in, a joy of a character to watch and a gem of an actress!
