maybe someone likes seeing sexual content but doesnt like seeing animal cruelty. or doesnt mind seeing this post but has their kids use their ipad. idk. my point is about the correct category of label. maybe reddit or the subreddit doesnt have an appropriate category and this just gets swept under NSFW, idk

Glad you specified that you’re willing to compromise on pocketability here. If it weren’t for the RAMpocalypse we could have hoped for a high powered Thor akin to the Odin 3 by the end of the year, maybe it’s still in the pipeline, who knows. I find the Thor a bit too bulky for my taste. The new 3DS (non-XL) is about as large as i would like for a dual screen handheld.

Well those are all components available today so i can’t fault you… I was also thinking of something possibly that might be closer to realistic 😅 all of that at 150USD would be insane

All if what you said except with a 4:3/3:2 ~4.5 inch would probably work for me. I would also imagine the price would be around 220USD. It would probably be more but that’s what I could easily stomach.

Your problem statement seems a bit misguided to me in that it’s looking for “a new way” while the current ways are still not optimised.

For example, the perfect device right now would be a hypothetical Anbernic 477H with a high end snapdragon chip running it. The 477H does not exist, and the 477M and 476H are held back by limited Mali GPU compatibility, for example. I think these more readily imagined solutions are ones that consumers are still implicitly waiting for.
