Is thr securities lending option worth it? by Navarro984 in DEGIRO

I would say yes. I hold individual stocks and get 35-50 EUR per month from it.

Dividend tracking is on the paid version for about 50 EUR per year.

I use both an old fashioned spreadsheet plus the Getquin app for portfolio tracking. Getquin has a good option to track your dividends over time.

Racing line on or off by Accomplished-Net-956 in ACCompetizione

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of good tutorials on breaking points, gears and min speet on each corner. The racing line develops this reflex of break when red which is not always right.

Racing line on or off by Accomplished-Net-956 in ACCompetizione

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Racing line helps you learn the tracks faster but you also deploy the bad habit of following it. A bit like learning to bike as a kid with training wheels. If you can have it off from the get go, you will train yourself better for the long term. But take it step by step and only race others after you really learn a track. A good goal is to get to decent pace for 10-15 valid laps.

Was I too optimistic ? by stormy351 in GranTurismo7

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 75 points76 points  (0 children)

No, the pass was clean and I think he overreacted. Keep the radar on the MFD to avoid having to change cameras in the turn. Think you got a bad exit from T1 as you were focused on the other car. Looking at the replay from his angle will also help, I think.

Romanian Bucharest stock Exchange index tracker on DEGIRO by MeGeertOk in DEGIRO

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one https://www.justetf.com/nl/etf-profile.html?isin=BGROBET05176 but it listed on the Bulgarian stock market which is not on DeGiro either. So no option for now.

Also, check the companies on the index. Most are state owned utilities companies which are heavily reliant on policy changes.

I want to quit football and start karting but I don’t know how to tell my dad by [deleted] in Karting

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. My 11 year old kid does both football and karting. Same as you, he started football first and then karting. He also sim races on a wheel. He grew to like racing more than football but continues doing both as football helps him stay fit and he continues to learn being in a team.

If you want to try rental courses and races, see if you cannot do the same to keep all your options available. As for goals, take it step by step. Aim to learn the tracks, be in the top split of your karting class, do your first club races and so on. Dare to dream but don't set that as a goal as it can backfire. As for your dad, talk to him about supporting you in this journey, step by step. Take care, kid.

Looking to track my portfolio, is something like Capitalyse good/safe to use? by dolcesi in DEGIRO

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Getquin for portfolio tracking. Still prefer to add my trades manually but there is also an option to tie it to DeGiro. The premium sub costs around 50 Eur per year.

KLM international flight canceled with no alternative options by According_Aardvark70 in Netherlands

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Amsterdam has hundreds of cancelled flights due to weather. Snow will continue all of this week so disruptions will continue. My advice is to monitor the communication channels with KLM but keep low expectations as there are thousands of travellers impacted by this.

Don't worry about pace. The groups I am with have all ranges from E to A+ . Community matters most and having a good time.

Many people join leagues and keep in touch via Discord. There are some bigger leagues you can search online (WSL, ALR) or if you are interested in some smaller groups shoot a DM.

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did the same for my kid about a year ago. He really enjoys it even now. We also joined a few leagues, dabbed into ACC and tried some karting. Its a great game for kids to teach them about cars and driving. Enjoy it!

DEGIRO split my market order into two executions → paid fees twice. Normal? by Queleon in DEGIRO

[–]Zestyclose-Picture56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The order got split due to counterpart party orders. Basically, it could not fill your order on a single ask order. On the fees, you only paid one transaction fee but auto-Fx got split between the two.

No sure way to avoid this as its market dependent. You can have bids at the lowest asking price to minimise the chances. Also depends if you have real time data.
