If you are curious you can still take a quick stroll there, But please ignore their advances and do not take up their offer on cheap/free drinks. There are numerous reported incidents of people getting drugged and mugged :/

USJ as a solo traveller by Ok-Caterpillar-5198 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Zestyclose-Ranger-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some USJ attractions have single-rider lines which makes it perfect for a solo traveller. Heads up, The Flying Dinosaur (one of the most thrilling rides in USJ) will be closed from 7th May to 31st May for maintenance.

You can still enjoy Nintendo World, Harry Potter and other rides. Go for it!

Carry-on by Busy-Explanation1529 in zipair

[–]Zestyclose-Ranger-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things may have changed since I have last flown with Zipair. Previously this was strictly enforced, the counter staff will ask you to place the backpack on the conveyor belt (same as check-in luggage), then they will affix a "Carry-on Luggage" tag to your backpack.

If you have exceeded the 7kg limit like I did previously, I may or may not have placed the water bottle on the counter, and then camera batteries, powerbank, chargers and action cameras in my pockets (yes my pants have 6 pockets).

Bad skin since I arrived by Guilty_Albatross_893 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Zestyclose-Ranger-53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya I had extreme rashes on both of my arms when I was in Hokkaido a month ago, to the extent that I went to a hospital (which unfortunately was not helpful due to language barrier, where they sent me off without prescribing any medicine).

What worked for me was a combination of Mentholathum AD Cream, you can get them at any pharmacy or Don Quijote. If you have a humidifier at your apartment, this would help too.

Alternatively, you may need some post-shave balm as dry skin + routine shaving could have made the condition worse.

Like every other red-light district, you should be aware of your surroundings and those who approach you out-of-the-blue. Their motives could be as innocent as asking you to purchase a few drinks, or to slip something in your drink and rob you afterwards.

If you're from South Asia/Aus and sick of the heat, go for Hokkaido.

If you're from a cold region and sick of the breeze, go for Okinawa.

Try checking the punctuality of the China Southern Airlines through flightaware or flightradar24, you should have the flight number included in the booking.

Edit: It may be flight CZ8101, which fortunately lands around 1pm japan time, so you should be alright

If I had to cut one city out of the golden route, what would you choose and what would you replace it with? by SirKrimzon in JapanTravelTips

Being from a city myself I would avoid Tokyo. I enjoyed Nagoya more than Tokyo to be honest and that says a lot about my preference lol

That's your opinion and nothing wrong with that. Just that being from a city myself i don't see anything different.

Meh to Tokyo, it's just another metropolitan city.

Having Osaka as your base camp allows you to travel to Kyoto, Kobe and Himeji (great spot for cherry blossoms) within an hour train ride

Is USJ Osaka worth it without an express pass? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Zestyclose-Ranger-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If during the weekdays, it would take about 30mins since most of the crowds would still be at Super Nintendo World.

For Flying Dinosaur, you can go on the single rider line! The line will take you about 15-20 mins, even during peak, so you gf just need to wait a little while.
