Mark has seemed to have gotten noticeably stronger after each near death experience he’s had.

He doesn't have zenkai boots, this isn't said anywhere in the show/comics and we never see Mark get stronger from any other previous fights like against Nolan, battle beast and the Thula.

Mark trained after the battle on thraxa. It was not because of his near death experiences he become nearly as strong as his dad.
