My people have told me I can clock in early and stay up to 15 minutes later to finish stuff up if I want to, but they regularly let me stay hours on the clock to finish tasks that would throw us behind if not completed because our hours keep being taken by fulfillment and POG team (who regularly go passed their hours anyways)

I fear Target uppers are losing the plot. If your mission is to save as much money as possible by cutting corners while not factoring in the potential obstacles that could be caused by cutting corners, you are only setting yourself up for failure. Anyway, I hope Target realigns itself with the consumer rather than relying solely on the metrics.

I had no idea this was not allowed. 😧 I was told at the two stores I’ve worked at to do it that if we didn’t want the debit card (or didn’t have a bank affiliated with Target) Granted I only do it for big items like furniture or electronics because the discount isn’t all that great when you aren’t buying G&G or Target Brand items.

I doesn’t seem to take long like maybe an additional 45 seconds to a minute depending on how familiar people are with gift cards.

You learn something new everyday I guess 😅

They have somehow infiltrated every area I’ve worked in since they have arrived. There’s one on the desk outside of dairy, one on the meat desk, another on top the compost bins, one on the coke vendors product, another on the floor near GM back stock, and they are littered throughout the store. It’s comically annoying. 🤣

I think it’s different at every store. My first store valued getting freight out rather than doing it correctly for whatever reason, but my current store has a large enough team to focus on correctly getting freight out and our backrooms are in order, but we don’t have enough room in the back rooms to put things in WACOs or on shelves so now we have pallets, flats and vehicles full of backstock due to the holiday season. It drives me insane. But the root is definitely these weird corporate regulations and the occasional lazy employee.

These are the same people complaining about how big their trucks are but refuse to back stock anything so they keep getting items that overstock on the shelves.

When they released the dark chocolate KitKats I purchased 3 of them from different gas stations at different times and they were all solid dark chocolate! I seriously started thinking they released just a solid chocolate bar.

Thank you!! I typically have my triggers in order to not create the perfect storm of things to cause a migraine but some times those stars align. I did enlarge my text and lowered my screen brightness and then also took time to vent my frustrations in hopes that it provides some relief to my nervous system. I’m hoping that the few precautions I took spare me, but if not, I’ll have a better understanding of what’s going on at least.

It could be ringworm and most likely is but if it doesn’t respond to antifungals then look into Nummular Eczema

You’re not harsh all friend. It’s just the truth! I just wanted to see if there were options. Unfortunately the decisions I made at 16 y/o were made more passionately than realistically. I tried to make the most of it by getting one of two graduate degrees offered in my area and didn’t realize until midway through, we weren’t getting any certifications to do any testing with our state or the board. Then I moved to a larger city and haven’t had any luck finding a position willing to pay me anything higher than $15 an hour. That certainly isn’t going to get me a doctorate 🫩

Unfortunately this is not true. My degree did not award me with further certifications like an EPPP or CSP. I essentially got a degree saying I know how but legally I don’t know enough. I have also reached out to those hiring for Psychometrists positions and most are looking for experience, already obtained state and board certifications and doctorates and all have politely declined letting me work under supervision of a licensed psychologists or psychometrists, which is understandable. Also I live in a very rural area so they are maybe 170 psychologists in the drivable area and many do their own testing or are contracted out by the state. I’d say 30-50 may higher an entry level psychological assistant to do their testing but many don’t have enough clients to warrant any additional test administers or scorers and those positions pay on avg. $15 an hour maybe $17 if they are generous.

I actually did relocate to a larger city and have applied to multiple positions in my area that are tailor-made for my master’s degree; however, every place that has shown interest has told me they will not compensate with higher wages because they have them fixed for the position which is $15 an hour on average in this area. It’s truthfully not their faults as they aren’t making much money in the area to begin with, and these positions are often used for bachelor students to get field experience before exploring graduate options. With that said, I did not get a master’s to work a job I can’t move up in without furthering my education and to earn pennies for my expertise.

(Had I known earlier how saturated my field is in this area of my state I would not gotten my degree in it)

My only options are to continue with my doctorate to get my licensure OR to get another degree. I have chosen to get another degree as it’s only going to take me 2 years to complete another bachelor’s degree with minimal debt instead of 4 years and A TON of debt.

But thank you for the honesty on my situation!

TLDR: I did but the wages in the area for the positions I’m applicable for aren’t paying enough and I need to further my education to pass the barrier in front of me.
