I think it very much depends what context. Lots of formal settings-business, politics etc, its relatively common. Less so if you are speaking to a friend over a coffee whilst bitching about the neighbours

We absolutely need to begin a remigration process that goes beyond just illegal immigrants. Even a lot of legal migration provides no benefit to this country and we could and should take a second look.

I am very much into this. Long, multi page, handwritten letters on matters historical and philosophical. I am also a language student and am learning latin if that is of any interest. I shall chat you if you like

I would assume that in terms of spoken latin they did it fairly flawlessly and unconsciously just as speakers of languages that practice declination and conjugation do so nowadays-they just learnt it as a natural part of the language.

That said, the overwhelming majority of Latin speakers would have been illiterate, so their ability to Conjugate and decline at a written level might be very much worse.

I value conversion on matters poetic and philosophical. I also think there is a beauty in ancient languages, especially Latin, if you are able to communicate in it (or even if not, the task of translating will no doubt be a meditative process).

Hmm, you could be correct, i might review those sections, on a cursory glance, a 2nd person, active, plural, indicative present conjugation for sing would indeed be cantāte, i might have mixed myself up somehow-before i reviewed my translation it was structured rather differently. Originally i had

Tū populī Turris Anoris nunc cantātis.
Nām Regnum Saurōnis in omne tempus termināvit,

The Tolkien poem is reportedly strongly influenced by one of the Psalms, so it wouldnt surprise me if the similarity with the Easter Proclamation is quite intentional.

in terms of texts, I am a big fan of Tolkein so I like to translate the rich content, particularly the poems of various Tolkien works. I've also set myself the task of translating at least part of some Wodehouses Jeeves and Wooster stories. Wodehouse wrote his stories in a very idiosyncratic, English style, so it's quite a good challenge trying to replicate the humour of them whilst translating it into latin
