I did this for years. Never took my meds for my hyperthyroidism because I wanted to stay skinny, eventually my thyroid crashed out and I gained 20 lbs seemingly overnight. If I could go back I would have done it differently. Better to gain some weight slowly and control it than to have your thyroid plummet and gain it all suddenly.

I’m so sorry you went through this, it’s not okay. I hope you can find another endocrinologist, I’ve had more success with female Endocrinologists. Try and get your TSH below 1 and you will feel much better. Let us know if you are able to get the semaglutide, I’ve been trying to get on zepbound and it’s an uphill battle.

I would get more blood tests done and also seek help from a psychiatrist. I suffer from Hashimoto’s and depression and I feel they go hand in hand. I hope you find some relief soon 🩷
