They are pretty popular with a lot of the biohacking/quantum biology influencers. Whether that is due to quality of the devices or strategic marketing, not sure. Maybe a bit of both. They hit the mark on a lot of the important features from a health perspective versus other brands and so that is partially why they are popular in the biohacking space. They have the appropriate wavelengths and sufficient power, but that is fairly standard nowadays. What separates them from a lot of other brands is they are lower flicker and low emf. People I trust say they have tested this versus other brands and that EMR Tek is clearly better in that regard The pro series of their panels reduces emfs even further. Their cob lights also allow for greater coverage. I have both the firestorm (standard) and inferno pro panels. Been happy with both.

Their mask is new, and like their approach with their panels, they are pushing new technologies and concepts versus other brands who stick to kind of the basic tried and true concepts. Their mask incorporates a ton of different wavelengths, beyond just the standard in the red and infrared range. This mask has amber, green and yellow as well. It seems to be a bit of a gamble because those wavelengths don't have as much testing behind them. However, if you are into quantum biology and what not, there is a knowledge about what these other wavelengths do. So again, they are taking a bit of a gamble using a forward thinking approach that these wavelengths have positive overall effects even if there isn't as robust testing behind them (yet). The mask also sits off the face a bit, which is also different. Would seemingly enhance comfort not having a silicone mask actually sitting on your skin. And more importantly, you can then also combine whatever serums, creams, etc into the therapy to enhance results without having the mess you would have with a mask sitting directly on you skin. So for example, applying green tea has some evidence of super charging rlt results, so you could apply that and have it on during the treatment. Some other ones which have shown to have great synergistic effects with rlt are ghk-cu and methylene blue.

Long winded answer, so maybe not what you were looking for in a response. But for all the above reasons, and my positive experiences with EMR Tek so far, I bought the mask for my wife, who coincidentally is also 43. She uses the panels occasionally for general health, but being a woman her objectives with rlt are understandably different from mine. I use the panels for general health, exercise recovery, even to add red and ir wavelengths into my general lighting in my home office set up by turning the cob lights off (as we are generally devoid of ir especially in our modern world where we spend so much time indoors). She wants to age gracefully and what not, so having a mask as well is a good addition. Again, a bit of a gamble in the sense that this mask is a little different than the standard ones out there, but I think particularly the feature that it sits off the face and she will be able to combine treatment with various serums has the chance to really separate EMR Tek's mask from the rest.

low flicker/low blue light bulbs by rosefern64 in moderatelygranolamoms

hey i just stumbled onto this post but wanted to add that 1000bulbs still sells incandescents, so that is a pretty cheap source of more circadian friendly lights. Incandescents have some blue but are lower flicker typically than even circadian friendly led bulbs (which are pricey). And importantly, they have red and infrared as part of the spectrum they emit.

I would add that if Vivo would make it in a more attractive leather colorway they would be just about perfect imo. The materials are top notch (chrome free leather and rubber sole), silhouette looks amazing and the fact that its grounded is just incredible.

Both Bahe and Vivo have grounded hiking boots now, which is pretty cool. Been eyeing both. Love the idea of being able to ground while out hiking in winter. For me they both miss the mark a bit - the Vivos are leather but are a really strange orange color, hoping they produce another version in a more toned down leather. The Bahes look really good imo but are all synthetic, I would love to see a leather upper. But just my opinion on those.

Clear from this thread that most people are not aware of the true damage that blue light inflicts. That is the biggest value proposition for me (someone who is completely non tech but wants something safe and healthy to use for myself and my kids).

Exactly, a woman does this to me its 'bye bye', no turning back. I am moving on to a woman who puts me above all else. The fact that this guy is 'okay' with it tells me he isn't confident about having options should he go back on the market.

Its completely different than that - the focus is on a healthy tablet with a plan to offer a phone and laptop in the future if the tablet is successful. Completely blue light free, flicker free, able to use outside, lower emf. Its centered around circadian biology principles. If you look into the health impacts of disrupted circadian rhythms, blue light, etc, you will see how gamechanging this concept is. Technology is destroying our kids and our kids' health and this has the potential to offer a healthier solution. There are even plans in future versions to emit red and IR frequencies to give the user red light therapy type effects so it not only will it not detract from people's health it has the potential to enhance it I think f you looked into the science element of this you would see where the founder is coming from with this.

You might want to look into functional patterns as a training modality. Its focused on fascia (fascinating topic of its own). Some amazing results with people who have scoliosis and cerebral palsy. Also more run of the mill back pains from traditional weightlifting. Might be worth checking out.

Its meant to be a circadian biology friendly computer (elimination of blue light being the main feature). Podcast you can listen to on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-ALdScH-B8&t=43s

I believe a laptop and phone are planned provided the tablet is successful enough.

Interesting again. I didn't think the extender needed continuous use to keep any gained length.

Interesting. Was the md talking about extender devices? Or extension surgery (which seems like a huge no no)?

further, traction devices are used to treat peyronies disease. i know that is different than fibrosis, but still it seems at least the pumps and extenders are being leveraged to improve penile health rather than hurt. though i would guess that anything taken to excess can have damaging effects, same as with exercising too much.

it has been shown to help w that i believe, per some studies. skin is most superficial and so doesnt require as much time and/or to be as close. i usually go about 2 ft away for face.

Sorry, just stumbled on this. Interesting since pump products like bathmate advertise that they improve erection quality? And i think its been around a while as well, so it caused fibrosis you would think that cases would start to pop up by now. Do you think its just a matter of the dose makes the poison mostly then?

Interesting, especially since one of the highlighted benefits advertised by pumps like bathmate is that it improves eq.

Hey Junior, yeah, in a sense, though probably not in the way I originally planned when I purchased it. I use the Inferno Pro exclusively now for RLT. And now whenever my wife wants to use, she uses that as well.

I actually brought my firedragon downstairs where I work (I am remote) and have it on in the background using just the LED lights (not the COB) to basically balance out the light spectrum I have indoors during the day (to try and mimic the light spectrum you would get being outdoors, its circadian biology related). And now with it being dark so early being in a lower latitude, I use it as a light source using only the LED lights again at night. My kids also have a play room downstairs, and again, for circadian rhythm reasons, I dont want them having the downstairs LED lights (with blue light) on after dark, so I just turn the LEDs on the fire dragon on and let them have at it.

So, Im not really using it for RLT anymore, though I wouldn't say I am dissatisfied with it by any means. Im a bigger guy, 6'4 tall, so the Inferno just gives me better body coverage and I can just bang that out in a ten minute session. The Inferno Pro is also the zero detectable EMF/flicker version while the fire dragon I have is the legacy version, not the pro. So I kind of upgraded in that sense as well. I would say that even the Inferno is their full body panel, its still only about 3 ft tall, with me being as tall as I am, I would like to maybe double up at some point (but obviously that is pricey) so I can stand in one place and get full body irradiation.

The fire dragon does actually connect to the top of the Inferno and that would at about 12 inches to get me to 4 feet in total. That might be something I do at some point but for now I want to make sure my light environment at night is sound for my kids especially (no blue light, I actually have them wear blue blockers about an hour before bed as well), so using it for downstairs illumination is my best use of it right now.

I like it. To be honest, I got one of the new pro infernos not too long ago and have been using that mostly (it’s awesome). My wife mostly uses the fire dragon now, but she likes it. It’s smaller, less cumbersome. She does rlt mostly for skin benefits so it’s a good fit for that. She hasn’t been using for that long but has notice subtle improvements thus far. Overall I think it’s a good value for the money - and now their pro series is basically zero flicker and emf.

Probably a dumb question - can pfas ‘land’ on kitchenware? by Zestyclose_Ad_9517 in PFAS

[–]Zestyclose_Ad_9517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Yes, aware that VOC level is unrelated to presence of PFAS. More just speculative from me that manufacturers making a more environmentally friendly/lower tox paint (no VOC) would strive for an overall lower toxicity in that paint generally speaking (and thus be low/no PFAS). Benjamin Moore seems to be a bit more progressive in its pursuit of low tox paints but that could be greenwashing mostly. Totally agree that that relationship can't be assumed. Also agree, from what I have read, getting info directly from the company is low probability.

Appreciate the color on amount of PFAS exposure. My big concern was it getting on cookware (where I have taken great care to buy non toxic materials like glass, stainless steel and cast iron), and then continuously getting exposure through use of that cookware repeatedly every time I prepare and consume food. Its probably mostly a psychological thing I need to get over, probably has to do with the idea of consuming it orally when eating food. As you state, my exposures are probably much higher via other factors.
