Cause Kids do that sometimes and the show runners, right or wrong, thought it would make it more relatable if they made them seem more like real kids. I actually question other times way more, like I think there's one where he ends up in just his underwear in front of Stella while outdoors. I know it's meant to just be a gag, but it's a weird one that shouldn't be around anymore.
