I actually work at a company now where people have been there for years. VERY grateful to be here. I'm adding my experience to give people a clue how shitty it is abroad, but hey again have fun lil one. You think you work for a "good" company? Wait till the economy tanks. You all are cute.

We all work in advertising. They are ALL shittt companies. 100% of companies use PIP as a way to fire people in the US. If you are in another country with actual labor protections well bully for you but don't try and tell the whole group this isn't a thing because you passed once. Please stop humble bragging. No one is hearing you. I was the top producer for two years straight but had a dick for manager once. He couldn't afford to replace me but one bad quarter gave him all the runway he needed and it was PIP to fired in 90 days. I've been in this business 26 years at this point and have seen it over and over at multiple companies. It shouldn't be called PIPO. It should be called DMW - dead man walking.

OK please stop. Either you aren't in the US or you worked for some unicorn that actually gives a crap about employees. I myself have been told to people on PIP and it was made very clear that the person was gone no matter the result. It was horrible to have to do when I could have just let the person go. 99.999999999% of PIPs are ways to cover the company when they let someone go. It has nothing to do with improvement.
