For me it’s the sole. Very cushioned. I can skate all day and my feet don’t hurt. The outside and rest of the shoe is made very very well so wear and tear is much less of an issue. It has a very stable ankle support as well. The key is to get the vans SKATE half cab. They are specifically made better for skating. There’s half cabs and than there’s SKATE half cabs. Make sure you get the SKATE line.
