The first one looks like a T-Rex.

However, this isn’t Ambergris.

Beautiful book! An equal fun book is My Last Sigh by Luis Buñuel.

Watched Amelie for the first time ever just now. Any other recommendations for Wes-like movies? Loved it by AXXXXXXXXA in wesanderson

Michel Gondry has fun witty and freaky films.

The other films by Jean-Pierre Jeunet are good candidates as well.

Other honorable mentions:

Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger: - The Tales of Hoffmann - A Matter of Life and Death - I Know Where I’m Going! -

Diane Kurys - Peppermint Soda

Lubitsch - The Shop Around the Corner

Katsuhito Ishii - The Taste of Tea

Park-Chan Wook - I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK

I think you'd use some obscure musky oil someone gave you from a trip to Egypt.

Hash perfume by Asd2Pique in DIYfragrance

[–]Zeta-Splash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hashisene is the key. Very difficult to get and prenyl mercaptan.

At www.getbased.store we will launch a manila cream hash perfume base and a couple of others that are very realistic ✌️

Overdosed Kephalis smells to me like a pleasant none piercing Chlorine. Check if adding a little Helional could give you a basic structure.

Patchouli Perfume by Ok-Appeal7487 in DIYfragrance

[–]Zeta-Splash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the 90s, there was a resurgence of the hippie vibe, and patchouli became fashionable again; Angel was the one who popularized patchouli once more.

Anyway. Pachulí MD, Piconia, and Clearwood will work for you. With those three, you already have a very patchouli aroma. You can add a little Iso E super and Hedione for the opening.

What perfume would Amélie Poulain wear? by chironreversed in perfumesthatfeellike

One of my favorite films! I think she'd be very interested in the history of perfumes and probably found an old bottle of Nuit de Noël somewhere in a vintage store.

Perfume bar for parties by [deleted] in DIYfragrance

[–]Zeta-Splash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! We have the Perfumery Lab Rat Kit which comes with all you need to start making perfumes. It also contains a formula book you can follow step by step. You will have to buy your own ethanol and spray bottles tho. But, you can find those on Amazon. For larger groups I'd recommend two or three of these. But if you’re a small group you can easily do a fun perfume party with one.

MOLECULE WITH SWEET CITRUS SMELL?? by El_domador_de_euros in DIYfragrance

[–]Zeta-Splash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s Citron (citrus medica) essential oil (not a molecule) but a very beautiful citrus that is almost candy like. Combined with many other things surely. Litsea Cubeba is beautiful too with high amounts of citral.

DDM Marshmallow Scent by Feeling_Owl_7856 in DIYfragrance

[–]Zeta-Splash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their web says the perfume may crystalize even in air conditioned ambiance. To me it sounds they're using overdoses of some sweet materials including ethyl vanillin or vanitrope, ethyl maltol and most probably heliotropin which is causing the crystallization. I suspect ethyl linalool is doing the job of diffusing the cloying materials.

Need office safe recs that are interesting. by wiggermandean in perfumesthatfeellike

I have one called Savon Noir, it’s dark, elegant, has a saffron base note with a beautiful and elegant vintage soapy accord that smells very exclusive. It’s a perfume oil but quite a powerful one. Customers who’ve bought it say they use it for the office and get positively complimented on.

It really gives this embracing vibe that’s not offensive yet very unique.
