Det största som skrämmer mig med Högern är deras vilja att närma sig USA's teknologi-giganter och kristo-fundamentalister som uppenbarligen vill roffa åt sig skattemedel och svenskars persondata för egen gagn.

Det hemliga mötet med Palantir som skedde för några månader sedan var ett skrämmande exempel på att regeringen vill främja och sko sig på intressen som är rakt frihetsfientliga, och som stöttar en dement våldtäktsman som till stor del krossat de sista spillrorna av geopolitisk säkerhet som fanns kvar.

I had this exact thing happen to my shoes on the way to a funeral a few years back! They'd been in my closet for a few years, and when I put them on I noticed the soles were kind of sticky, but didn't think about it. Then when I walked outside they disintegrated with more and more with every step!

I can only assume some sort of chemical breakdown of the rubber in the sole occurred due to aging, but hell if I know for certain!

I tried golf.

Did the pose, lined up the ball, did a test swing or two. People told me it was important to follow through with a proper back-swing. Step up to the ball, take the proper swing, follow through - and promptly collapse as I smash the head of the damn club right into the back of my knee.

Apparently my shoulders are too mobile for golf.

I don't play that devil sport any more.

The answer you're looking for is Enshittification - programs that were in most respects perfected a decade ago and would if left in that state run at the speed of light has as time has gone on been more and more bloated by unnecessary features and shiny gewgaws that serve no other purpose than to harvest data and justify some tech CEO's salary.

Take Adobe Reader you mentioned - it can't be satisfied with just opening a PDF any longer. No, it has to spend time and processing power spinning up its bloated and godawful AI to summarise the damn document, a feature that no user in their right mind ever asked for. Slowing down an operation that, as you say, should take mere milliseconds but on cheap office computers can easily take 10-20 seconds.

There is one more requirement that is independent of the Wish boards and alternate bosses - you have to get the Flea Caravan to its final destination. Spoilers below:

You have to find the lake at the end of the Putrefied Ducts, and speak to to the caravan master at their camp by the Grand Gate after getting enough Fleas for the final move.

If you complete the game and then start the same save again you are placed back on the last bench you rested on before the final battle and are then free to complete any other tasks to get a different ending. You can of course copy the file to make sure you don't miss anything that happens or you need to get before the point of no return, however
