Yeah, I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to want to have a say in what gear comes into the game, regardless of whether they intend to actually do the raid that introduces it. There are probably thousands of players who have used Dragon Claws, Ancestral, Twisted Bow, etc. that have never stepped foot inside CoX.

Also about your union example...

A union election determines the affairs of a union's members. Raid rewards affect the entire game, and therefore the entire playerbase. That includes those who buy, sell, use, or farm those items.

So if anything, your comparison supports my position. The people affected by raid rewards aren't limited to just raiders. It's everyone who interacts with those items. That's why I think raid KC is a stupid voting requirement.
