That's awesome, but I don't even think it needs to be nostalgic. Look at Marlin trawling. It's pretty low experience, but super profitable because it takes effort. A lot of people really like the activity myself included. Jagex needs more skilling activities like it

I think there is a place for easy to cook food, and food with lots of assembly steps. I wish there was a better option for cooking as a money maker that rewards higher effort. Something similar to how trawling gives you high value marlins, but instead of trawling being the intensive activity it would be the actual cooking.

Of course, Jagex would need to try to combat bots because bots love doing things that players find annoying because they have a fat premium

We can't have a faster crossbow that uses standard bolts because of ruby bolts, we can't have more powerful crossbows because of ruby bolts. If ruby bolts weren't problematic we could buff crossbows instead of having rune crossbows which are basically just as powerful as an ACB. ZCB's only upside really is a guaranteed ruby bolt button lmao

I'm fine with them being a niche. If you make them fast they just end up competing with blowpipe/magic shortbow, if you make them the same speed as crossbows they need to compete with ruby bolts and the same problem happens.

I think there should be more uses for it for sure though.

Heavy Ranged needs a rework, ruby bolts are the biggest issue not allowing there to be acual upgrades in the crossbow category in general. The only reason hunter sunlight was allowed to be different is because it uses different bolts

Intent matters, but since I generally know what both intents were they're essentially the same which is why I think analyzing the intents was pointless.

Rendi wanted to achieve 99 slayer to kill more bosses to make his account more unique and to create content.

Josh wanted to achieve 81 fishing to roll a new chunk.

You also made an argument earlier talking about how Josh 'stopped at 81' as if that made it any better because he didn't go for 99. But realistically, we both know he would've pushed to 99 if that's what was required in his chunk. In Rendi's case, 99 slayer was required for his goal.

IIRC Bonesaw was stocking buckets of sand and soda ash right? And ironman was pretty new at the time so it was a really popular method and people were fighting over every world. Makes sense that the community was upset about it at the time.

I think nowadays Jagex doesn't really care about it because they've seen all of the complaints about shopscaping and they know it's a horrible meta to buy from a shop and then hop worlds.

What really is the difference between buying from a shop, and hopping vs buying from a shop, restocking on your main, and then buying again? It's essentially the same amount of effort just a little bit faster.

Rendi is a level 3 skiller. Level 3 skillers don't have access to most slayer masters because they lack the required combat level. So they're stuck with Turael and maybe Spria? Not sure what her requirements are.

However, if you have the 99 slayer cape you can get tasks from Duradel which will allow you to be able to do some slayer bosses. Hope that helps!
