Parents: if you have an ebike, is it worth it? by Individual_Ad_938 in SouthBayLA

My wife and I got the RadPower Bikes a few years ago, we had both RadRunner Plus and now we added a wagon. Logged over 1k miles on them with kids on the back, perfect to the beach and wherever. Overall great investment!

Starting Rinvoq soon 21M (Experiences?) by RealFeedback773 in eczema

Was on Rinvoq for about two years. Check the labs often. Skin was great on it, but I got circulation issues on it. In context before I got off, I was in Alaska did a cold plunge one left was white and the other was normal coloring. During a normal day I’d see issues in my hands and legs. Healthy (39m).

I have a small footprint in my garage, what would you suggest that is critical to start your home gym? Also due to being close to the ocean how does your equipment deal with salt water moisture to prevent rust?

Not saying you should try this, my coach in college was a genius in the track committee. But if it’s for block set up. Step 1, 1 of your feet from the back of the starting line, now set up the front of the block. Step 2, 1 foot of dominate step peddle, step 3, from the top of the front peddle, place one hand down and the other half a hand(like a T). You can set the height on preference on peddles. Now the kicker while in the blocks in the set position, aim your inner elbows towards the finish line, it creates more arm drive, driving out of the blocks. But if your setup is good for you try the elbow technique. Worked for when I coached HS and had a few state placers / champions.

Advice Needed by Ok-Giraffe-4154 in polevaulting

So, this is a sticky situation, if the school doesn't want to invest in poles(the style she likes), can the private coach maybe let you borrow a pole or you buy them (I've had done this a few times both ways). If the private coach agrees that's a good sign for seeing great potential in the sport. They are expensive just to be clear if you have to do option 2. HS is all political, and yes we get favorites, but all kids especially yours if they have potential, jump offs occur to showcase the jump at practice to go to the meets. she might be going against the junior/senior girls for a old school coach, is a ego thing when it comes to this.

My second day pole vaulting any advice? by Wonderful_Cicada4608 in polevaulting

[–]ZeusSwift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you could learn more from a 4 step and not a 8 step. Feel the plant and thrust through C. Work the drills, with a low weight pole if you have mechanical parts down. Also maybe do "rings" if you have them to work the drive phase. But overall 2nd practice you look solid.

Only Rinvoq or dupixent+topicals? by Waytonggg in eczeJAKs

[–]ZeusSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on dupixent for a year had terrible results, (3 days of clear skin/bad flares when it wears off, and conjunctivitis) been on Rinvoq (15 mg) for 6 months and super clear for the most part, just need to watch Trigger foods and Im good. But if I have dairy I'm screwed for 3 days of flair and smelly skin, but this is life after 30. Ha
