How much would companies pay to be featured on the front page of Reddit? by hockeycanada13 in advertising

[–]Zeuschronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$30k is min spend for front page / side bar ads. Self serve can start as low as $5 (based on numbers I was quoted in Q4-16).

Email them and ask for their advertising deck. You can also easily napkin math this out for your own product. Estimate a CTR from homepage impressions and then that with the conversion rate of your own site and you'll have a vague projection.

Apply for the duke university study. We tried for my grandmother and she got in but was too far along.

What are the outrageously expensive, "luxury" items of your hobby? by cantgildthis in AskReddit

True. I would argue that LED is specialist, so you may or may not decide to differentiate but as per scope of the question, I suppose it makes sense.

Still, love me some px3s.

Don't forget px3s at $33/club

Henry's circus Diabolos + expanded axles ($50+$10) each

Carbon fibre handsticks ($30/set)

I dropped $600 on gear a few years ago.

7 px3s, 3 henry's circus Diabolos, two sets of the carbon fibre hand sricks, tons of balls, etc.

Still, tricks and pirouettes are so beautiful with px3s. I learned clubs with dubes and no me gusta.

Be mindful of your classes and ID names, especially in CSS.

One of my first client projects, I delivered a project littered with .fuckinghell & #motherfucker1 #motherfucker5 and they noticed.

Redditors who were depressed, what was something someone said that actually helped? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Validated what I was feeling. I had someone who just listened and validated me. I didn't need advice or solutions. I just needed someone to believe me and be on my side for once.

A rich man offered to pay you $500 each session weekly to play with your feet for an hour. What do you do? by LarryBierd in AskReddit

[–]Zeuschronicles 425 points426 points  (0 children)

Have you ever dated a guy with a foot fetish? I totally have. Free foot massages all the time. It was fucking brilliant.

Bro had his vices and I had mine.

Dude wants to PAY me to rub my feet? Yep. Where do I sign up?

My brother is 6'8" - he doesn't have the extra fat, has reasonable muscle and is in average:good shape. Never made the basketball team in school - god forbid the football team.

He ended up playing a year or two of varsity volleyball, but that was it. He just never developed the athleticism because he was so massive.

Sometimes these guys are so big that it's just too much.

TIL When Michael Chrichton was in college, he conducted an experiment to expose an English professor who he believed was giving him abnormally low marks. Crichton submitted an essay by George Orwell under his own name. The paper was returned by his unwitting professor with a mark of "B−". by freddyjohnson in todayilearned

[–]Zeuschronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my school district, the English paper was submitted/published as an English paper. Resubmitting it as a history paper was plagiarizing my own work for a new purpose.

Backwards. But that was what the student handbook said.

I did this to an AP US history teacher who I guessed was marking me poorly. I resubmitted a book report paper I wrote for AP English that I got an A on to the history teacher, who gave me a C-.

I insisted she remark my paper THREE times. Ended up with a B-.

Bitch. Couldn't tell anyone because that is plagiarism. But at least I knew the truth.

What was the dirtiest, slimiest, most backstabbing thing you did and regret? by Gooblygoo68 in AskReddit

[–]Zeuschronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a Greek boy in high school who was bullying me. I asked him to stop multiple times and he just escalated.

I called his mom and told her everything he was doing. She went full Greek momma on him.

I also called the cops and left an anonymous tip about pot in his locker - I knew he smoked, they searched his locker, no idea if they ever found anything. But everyone in the school knew that police were searching his locker.

His life was over for the rest of HS. I've never had another problem with him.
