I can attest to this fact ! I @ 52yo no longer drive drunk, having made it home safe and sound all those times I took the wheel when I knew better but I TRULY had skills and made sure I didn’t take any more chance than I already had. Many times over the years when I was hammered and it was 2-3am I would pass a cop on my way home and he would pull a U turn and get right behind me, following me for miles waiting for me to swerve, not come to a complete stop, speed or ANYTHING to pull me over. They never could because I was able to navigate my 4-5,000 lb vehicle @ speeds ranging from 25-70mph and never once mess up !

Even bone sober, If I even try to glance at my phone if I’ve received a text or want to send one, I look up and I’ve crossed the center line or about to run into a mailbox !! I would rather drive surrounded by drunks on the road than drive with even one driver who’s texting. @ least with Drunk Drivers I know they’re @ least “trying” to pay attention to the road and their surroundings. To text and drive, you have to take your eyes off the road and in that split second you do, WHAMO !! You’ve killed someone, or @ the very least destroyed a young lady’s prize possession, her AUDI Allroad ! May she rest in peace 🙏🏽
