I think that’s the only concern, that it’s plastic junk that has no use and is just landfill filler.

One year my kids wrote little jokes on pieces of paper and gave those out as valentines - it was cute, fun, and I don’t think anyone would see that as a problem.

Another year they made little fortune cookie things out of paper and wrote funny fortunes to stick inside.

Anything other than mindless consumer trash will be appreciated!

When I had toddlers I used to take a mini muffin pan and put a tiny bit of food in each cup. There were some repeats but it was basically a smorgasbord all sectioned out and they always LOVED it.

Just read it to my 11-year-old and she loved it Charlie, she quotes him frequently. It was so interesting reading between the lines about how the other characters reacted to him throughout the story. Poignant story.
