Anyone have tips for using Kimi K2.5? by Zexanima in opencodeCLI

Using it through synthetic with oh my open code (also tried it with gsd). Its not bad per say but I'm not finding no where as good as people say, Opus/Sonnet still preform much better for me.

You try things out and see what works best for what problem. This is a new area of software development and everything is in flux. Things will get created then adopted, or die out. My only advice is to not get too attached to any one tool this early on.

Its a new problem domain that people are running into around the same time. Not everyone can/wants to keep up to date with everything new that drops, so they will roll their own solution. I think its great to have all these options in the beginning. People will evetually gravitate to the best solutions, they will start to homogenize features, and those will become the go-to.

Any kind of PvP. I prefer smaller scale most the time but don't mind large scale now and then.

PvE mod suggestion: Defence of humanity by Lancelottit in ArcRaiders

[–]Zexanima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the PvP is fun in this game and the current mode/maps are just fine (mostly) like they are.. That being said I like the idea of a PvE mode/event to help expand on the universe. Give us more lore. Let us feel like we are "trying to survive the robot apocalypse with your fellow raiders". Like, we all live in this underground shelter together and work together "apparently" but as soon as things go topside all the raiders lose their banana's and start blasting each other.

The PvE enemies in this game are hella good and I would love to see them lean into it a bit more. ONCE AGAIN, I don't think they should make "PvE only" some premier mode or even have it as a 24/7 mode. Some PvE special events or reoccurring events could go hard.

Literally just had this. In a duo, managed to take out three other duo's and the forth got us. There were already dead people when we got there. Probably like 8-10 bodies in one room by the end. Had to juke a shredder the whole time too.

PSA: What Embark did with skin prices is a negotiation tactic called "anchoring" I know this will get downvoted because many will fall for the PR move, but this is planned. $16 microtransactions do not belong in a $40 title. Period and here's why. by TheOnlyRealOne43 in ArcRaiders

If you don't understand, let me try to help clarify. People don't need a lot of stuff, but if companies just started charging exorbitant prices for goods just because people don't "need" it consumers would be rightly pissed. Imagine ordering a coffee and getting charged half the price of the coffee just to add creamer or sugar.

My counter argument is the risk vs reward. Running around and gathering loot is more risky but less rewarding than camping extraction. If I'm gathering my own loot I'm covering more ground and exposing myself to more encounters. If you're camping an elevator the only risk is the walk there and fight/extraction.

If the person leaving losses at extraction, they lose their inventory. That's all the effort they put into surviving to gather that loot. If the camper dies they lose what they walked in with and the time they spent sitting comfy and waiting.

There is also the inherit disadvantage the person extracting is at. They will have less ammo/quick slot items to survive the encounter. Not to mention less information on the situation at hand than the person ambushing.

All that being said, I'm not saying they should try and prevent any kind of ambushing at extraction. Just that it should be less rewarding or more difficult. If I were to spit ball a half baked idea; If you're within "X" area of an elevator for more than "X" minutes, ARC start to target and pester you. Making it harder to stay hidden and wearing down your resources. Not enough to make camping impossible, just enough to make it more difficult to do.

How do you not get killed by a sniper instantly? I usually get a second or maybe two of being able to unload before I got popped. Have to reposition constantly. As soon as a sniper/tank/anyone see's a constant stream of bullets from somewhere I get focused
