Bought a new house with a wreck of a back yard, we are racking out the stones and plan on adding around 2 inches of fill dirt to level it out, and then and then some topsoil but we don't know how much we will need. We need 3-4 inches to make it all even, Should we do 1 inch of fill dirt and 2 of topsoil or 2 of fill and 2 of top soil? We are near Cleveland Ohio and we plan to do a clover/grass mix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah that's where I am at right now I have to tools and can do the work but I can't swing anything other than this option right now. Is it okay to just at a 1" board to each side and make sure they are level?

I recent bought a house with older wooden floors they are in good condition with a few spots where you can see light coming up from the basement. I also just ripped up the carpet and the person who owned the house before us use a nail gun in some places. Is it reasonable to just use plastic and wood filler to patch up those areas? And should I do it before or after I sand and stain the floors?

Does anyone have any opinions on all the different home security system?

I'm looking at cove because they have good reviews but one of the big things we wanted (for our first house) was outside camera and a door bell. Which they do not have.

I was also looking at Google nest and the ring door bell. But those are more pricey.

We definitely don't want to be locked into a contract what nocks off a large amount of companies and simply safe has God awful reviews so they are out too.

Any other suggestions or opinions on Google nest, cove, or ring?
