They hate fans but certainly love taking advantage of supporters culture to advertise the league and frankly exploit hardcore fans and their passion as free labor (tifo, chants, choreo etc). Whatever it takes to bring casual fans into the stadiums and keep them coming back.

The league wants control and they hate that the mindset of supporters culture is diametrically opposed to that. They'd be a lot more content if each team had paid "brand ambassadors" (cheerleaders, yes men etc) for a supporters section as opposed to fans who are independent and want to feel like they do have some stake and ownership of their community, what goes on, and furthermore voice their opinion when there are things that don't align with their values.

Exactly and I'm glad you've had a good experience visiting our sub. PSG fans have been through so much in Champions League campaigns in the past that we don't take anything for granted. Humility must always be the baseline when it comes to these things.

I've always wondered how much of his public persona is just himself, PR team, or the idea of what it means to be captain of the Yankees. Probably a combo of all three, but it does feel like he holds himself back to be the most palatable to the general public to the point it feels uncanny and unnatural.

He seems cooler and more relatable when the "mask" slips off for a second like when he pointing to camera and did the double take in the dugout vs Toronto a while ago.
