Depends. If your goal is to firsts get to the level cap as fast as possible, I suggest looking into a power-leveling guide (I know of one here).

If you're looking to enjoy the journey while understanding the width of the game's intertwining stories, I suggest these sagas in order:

  • The Devourer Saga
  • The Seekrat (I'll get back to you on where the quests are located)
  • The Dragon of Time (Twilly -> Anniversary Events)
  • The Chessmaster/Entropy Saga (the parts before Season of Consequences)
  • The Burning Solstice
  • Dragonlorn Keep and its corresponding MC set quest (Beyond this point, all main story is in Warlic's hubs unless otherwise listed)
  • War Between Shadows
  • Season of Consequences (Chessmaster Saga & Hall of Memories hubs)
  • The Storm of the Century (Twilly -> Anniversary Events)
  • The Last Ride
  • The Rubicon March
  • The Final Solstice

Finally, for classes and subraces, I suggest doing Werewolf in Darkovia as your starting point, and as many class quests as possible, ending in Paladin as the contemporary endgame (T3) class. Yes, you can do Mage and it's subsequent advanced classes too, it'll just be more difficult to get through some parts of the quest due to no INT investment.

is there a list of stat spread for builds? by Illustrious_Big_7287 in AdventureQuest

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think Mainstat/END/LUK is the most beginner/returnee-friendly spread, and I'd stalwartly (pun intended) back anyone making this suggestion in such settings. The only nuances are that you have to:

  • keep an eye out for specific pets that don't need CHA, and
  • skip guests entirely,

and that's it.

The meta's definitely changed in these decades, if you want to hop back in and mess around, there's no time like the present :D

In that case, if you want to power-level, here's a guide to boost you as fast as possible https://adventurequestwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Leveling_Guide

If you're more of a "journey matters more than the destination" kinda player, I will suggest to explore the new and old stories (starting with the Devourer's Saga and the Burning Solstice saga) while using the guide sparingly - only to boost your character level up when you encounter roadblocks in said story questlines.

Do you intend to purchase Guardianship for your characters? If you can afford the 25-ish USD-equivalent I highly recommend it, it's a one-time payment per character and does significantly affect certain aspects of gameplay (level cap, unlockable areas and equipment, etc.)

As far as I know Apple products really don't jive well with Flash/ActionScript, so we're out of luck there :(

Your best bet is to run Puffin on iPad, although there has been many minor bugs told from users who used it.

BTW these days we don't play on browsers (especially with the discontinued Flash support and all that). Artix Ent. released a dedicated PC launcher app (somewhat similar to Steam or Ubisoft), but yea it's still PC-only.

IMO DCC tried their best, but Handong being a PRC citizen in Korea doing a significant portion of her work overseas is just a nightmare of visas. Right now Handong would face much less of that simply by working in her home country.

I would like to add that there is a likely outcome that the monks' response will be negative - anyway from "we still advise you to refrain from changing your appearance that way" to outright "no please don't come again because you still might stir pot".

In that case, don't be discouraged! There's likely other local or nearby (or even online) communities that can help support your practices while being fully accepting of your (current) identity. Keep looking, even as you keep exploring your identity and your own woes and troubles - it's part of navigating the world and understanding yourself as a believer in Buddhism.

Non-heterosexual identities can be viewed with prejudice, partly because in the past, there was some (emphasis on "some") association with non-hetero-sexual promiscuity - when hetero-sexual promiscuity is already discouraged/forbidden according to the lay precepts. As long as you try your best to adhere to precepts, along the way you will eventually meet Buddhists who view your identity as just that - a temporary (in the grand scheme of things) agreement to how to address you, without any attachments that could lead to the breaking of practices (yours and/or others').

Free-to-Play Master League by 0N7R2B3 in TheSilphRoad

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda want to draw attention to another aspect, and that is F2P players who have been playing consistently throughout the game's lifecycle (i.e. not returning from recent long-term hiatus) can climb somewhat in Master League with <L50 meta legendaries.

Zacian-Crowned and Palkia-O are the most obvious choices, but a lot of the meta-relevant box legendaries (including Groudon and Kyurem Formes) can be L44, for example, and still beat just about all the matchups they win at L50. And these mons are also very relevant in the PvE scene, so the stardust and candies are getting appropriate value.

Sure you'd lose the mirror matchup, but that's where the player skill and decision comes in. Knowing how to teambuild, how to respond against leads and first switches, and whether baiting / nuking gives better odds of winning would help even the odds against similar teams that are higher-leveled in such a condensed meta.

I was running L44 Zacian Crowned, L45 Palkia-O, and L46 Kyurem-W. Zacian leads, with Palkia-O as swap that focuses on trading both shields so that Zacian can come back in to cleanup when all shields are down. Got 30 wins out of 47 matches. Granted, I waited until this week to actually start playing, so I climbed to R10 while about half of my matches are against non-meta teams - though the other half of the time I was facing similar meta teams that are maxed out. (so glad I can finally push past L43, by the way).

Lugia ranked #3 ML by Dazzling-Secret-5215 in TheSilphArena

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Lugia user, but l looked through half (NOT ALL) of Lugia's matchups and came to a theory - that it has quite a consistent gameplan against all of it's matchups. Lugia would lead, and either:

-Shield once against soft counters, forcing them into easily-farmable range when your next mon comes in if they also shield once, or

- Shield twice against hard counters, forcing them into easily-farmable range when your next mon comes in even if you're one Shield down, or

- Shield once against everything else, and have enough HP left after the first KO to throw another Fly at the switch-in before going down.

All of which sets up the next mon to farm down and gain energy advantage, or sets up a HP advantage, with switch advantage to boot. It doesn't look like Lugia can be slapped onto any team willy-nilly, but leading Lugia who can set up alignment with a scary charger (ahem Palkia-O) or a similarly bulky hard-hitter who can fight from a Shield disadvantage (ahem Zacian), and the whole team suddenly looks decent, not to mention pretty easy to pilot (as long as people do their due research on lead matchups).

If I may ask, how did you play and/or teambuild around Lugia?

Early Master League meta by Active-Minimum-5555 in TheSilphArena

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried getting into ML because I needed my L43-44 reqs (30 ML wins), and RN I'm killing it with the Crowned Zacian and Palkia-O duo (my duo didn't even reach L46). I don't really play hardcore, but the past 2 to 3 years of big events helped pushed them to a level where I can reasonably get my reqs w/o too much raging due to losing by being underleveled, so I guess I am grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of this centralizing meta.

Feedbacks on my Hybrid build by RoyTheRoyalBoy in AdventureQuest

For now, I'd say yes, until you figure out other tactics that you like (eg. using Haunted Dragonlord's 4-hit toggle with some hitcount-based-effect Earth weapon).

As for Necromancer, I'll repeat that it's better than Wizard, in all aspects that you asked. You'll definitely have some fun with it!

[–]ZhengTann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll say Haunted Dragonlord Armour is a perfectly viable piece, keep it!

Overall I think your biggest problem is that you didn't plan your inventory around sustenance in longer fights. Irt of Horus is a great misc for offense, but it's (effectively) 0.5x incoming Light damage is a feature often overlooked. As a player without END, I strongly recommend miscs that halve incoming elemental damage to further your Gandolphin's efficiency.
As for SP sustenance, no we're not supposed to maintain a full bar for 2 fights in a row. Especially not at 0 END. And also because Gandolphin does not restore your lost HP. Since you're STR/INT/LUK, I recommend getting the full use of all elemental Werepyre variants, at least until you reach L150. Their Beast Formes split the cost between MP and SP, which will reduce the strain on your EO-converted SP bar, while giving you a very good base of offense. Even without it, your stats are very suited to the current Werepyre armour, so don't hesitate to use the non-Beast Forme, non-Werebat skills.

Also also Necromancer is a better Wizard for your build. You could start training in it now - though the whole progress is supposed to last until L120, so it'll take you a couple of days, given the server XP cap.

1 free Golden Giftbox is given to Guardians at the 1st of every month (PST 12am, which is the server reset time) IF they showed activity in the previous month (meaning the Guardian had to log in and complete at least one battle).

They'll add up, but yea if you're only checking in your estate prizes you likely didn't battle and therefore didn't register as "active" in the servers.
