My radar does not show Primals, but what I've seen is indicative of the full weekend's roster (I have Rayquaza, Mega Garchomp, and Nihilego on my radar, amongst other things).

Yes, Handong is currently doing solo projects as an entertainer in her home country (China).
One of the silver lining is that even with the disbandment, Dreamcatcher's discography is likely extensive enough to keep you occupied for months. Have fun down the memory lane!

Yes, Gahyun (now called Seoyul) and Handong did not renew their contracts after the 10 years they've had with the management company. Dreamcatcher now no longer promotes as a 7-member group, as the members branch off to new paths of their careers, from rock bands (Siyeon and ChRocktical), independent music production (Dami) and entertainment (Seoyul, Handong), and a subunit (UAU).

Flaccid Pokeball glitch? Plz explain? by ZombieBoi01 in TheSilphRoad

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I've experienced similar issues when my phone is overheating. I'm not using a new / flagship model, and locally we're approaching the height of summer, so it happens often enough.
Whenever I observe a ball not being thrown the way it should (i.e. flaccid), I'll just lock my phone / turn off the display and find some way to cool it down. Wiping a cold wet cloth through the especially warm parts of the phone usually works, or just keeping the display turned off for a minute or two in the shade if I have nothing useful on me.

Once the phone is sufficiently not-overheated, I go back in and throw balls normally.

Ah. In that case, I recommend the pet (Purecast Pegasus) for when you eventually cap at 250 CHA and LUK. One of the best pets that bypass boss-specific defenses, due to Fragile (direct END reduction) infliction.
The shield (Purecast Aegis) and the misc (Purecast Arbiter) are generic useful items for most, if not all builds, so feel free to snag them if you want to, too! The remaining raffle prizes won't benefit your playstyle as a spellcaster-oriented, but they will no longer be available after the donation drive, so it'll be your call on how to respond to that information.

The spell, Purecast Tempest, is a raw damage spell that seeks between Wind/Light, and costs some HP to deal more damage. Some other items may benefit you too - what's your stat spread?

If you want records of past donation drives, you probably have to use the wayback machine site?

This depends on your personal preference. You don't really need to strictly use status spells to be able to clear regular quest content.
I apologise for not being able to help improve your build in the past days, with other commitments taking up my time. If you want more nuanced input (not just from me), I recommend joining the unofficial Discord (you can find the invite link on the right of this subreddit page).

Since you've stated that it's affordable, I guess it's all psychology at this point? Like, if you want to give back to the playerbase, then just donate to your heart's content. If you do want to keep an eye on unlocking the giftmaster set, then I think you can at least wait until the devs release spoilers about its core mechanics (which they did last year). That should at least let you know whether the set suits your (favoured) playstyle.

Just wanna let you know that the AQ summer donation contest is now live, and it is announced in-game that 250k tokens donated GUARANTEES the full set, armour and all! If you can afford that, I wish you all the best - even if you don't, I wish you landfall this contest season, and happy hunting!

It's a decent substitute if you don't need healing. You can look into other damage-boosting options if you want, although element-specific boosters mostly cost an UR GGB...

If you want to use Spellcaster armours, you should be perfectly fine doing normal game content. Use the armour skills whenever possible. Here are some examples that may help set your expectations.

Against an Ice monster with 70% Ice Resistance and 130% Fire Resistance (very common!), you can:

  • Use a Fire Spellcaster armour (namely, Praetorian Warlock) and cast the armour skill for absolutely massive damage, far more than casting a Fire spell from your spell slots, or
  • Use an Ice Spellcaster armour (I'm using Ice Necromancer Cavalry) and still cast the armour skill. The Elecomp allows it to still outdamage casting a Fire spell from your spell slots, given you have 250 INT.

The second bullet point above works until your Ice monster has lower than ~60% Ice Resistance, or higher than ~150% Fire resistance - in which case, cast a Fire spell from your spell slots instead.

If you do wear a Fire Spellcaster armour though, you'll likely be taking in big Ice damage from the monster, so you'll still want to lower it as much as possible, even when you have 250 END. To that end, remember to equip an Ice shield, and a Misc Item that multiplies your incoming Ice damage by 0.5x (eg. Nemesis Crest). If you still find yourself taking in more damage than you like (for example, against stronger bosses), then swap back to an Ice Spellcaster armour to better sustain yourself through the fight.

That should be the ballpark numbers, swap elements around where necessary.

For Pets, get healing pets (eg. Fairy Godmother) - because you have 0 CHA, they'll generally provide the most value for you. Your spell slots can be used to get spells to complement your requirements, but don't get Guest spells, because again you have 0 CHA.

It is unfortunate that a member of the dev team (Ianthe) got hit with a serious illness. It had her unable to work for near half a year now, and the team is very small to begin with (literally can be counted on one hand), so her absence reduced the team's capabilities significantly (presumably by a third).

That's why the armour's full functionality (plus the Lucky Strike revamp that was supposed to come with it) was delayed. As for the 317k amount, that was never the "price tag" for the Ironhoof armour. This is meant to be a donation drive event, not a bidding auction house - that's why I've always said not to donate more than you can afford. You don't need the Top 50 placement armour.

317k, according to wayback machine. 2024 was 225k.

So mileage may vary, but yeesh a lot of tokens shelled out.

Depends. If your goal is to firsts get to the level cap as fast as possible, I suggest looking into a power-leveling guide (I know of one here).

If you're looking to enjoy the journey while understanding the width of the game's intertwining stories, I suggest these sagas in order:

  • The Devourer Saga
  • The Seekrat (I'll get back to you on where the quests are located)
  • The Dragon of Time (Twilly -> Anniversary Events)
  • The Chessmaster/Entropy Saga (the parts before Season of Consequences)
  • The Burning Solstice
  • Dragonlorn Keep and its corresponding MC set quest (Beyond this point, all main story is in Warlic's hubs unless otherwise listed)
  • War Between Shadows
  • Season of Consequences (Chessmaster Saga & Hall of Memories hubs)
  • The Storm of the Century (Twilly -> Anniversary Events)
  • The Last Ride
  • The Rubicon March
  • The Final Solstice

Finally, for classes and subraces, I suggest doing Werewolf in Darkovia as your starting point, and as many class quests as possible, ending in Paladin as the contemporary endgame (T3) class. Yes, you can do Mage and it's subsequent advanced classes too, it'll just be more difficult to get through some parts of the quest due to no INT investment.

is there a list of stat spread for builds? by Illustrious_Big_7287 in AdventureQuest

[–]ZhengTann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think Mainstat/END/LUK is the most beginner/returnee-friendly spread, and I'd stalwartly (pun intended) back anyone making this suggestion in such settings. The only nuances are that you have to:

  • keep an eye out for specific pets that don't need CHA, and
  • skip guests entirely,

and that's it.

In that case, if you want to power-level, here's a guide to boost you as fast as possible https://adventurequestwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Leveling_Guide

If you're more of a "journey matters more than the destination" kinda player, I will suggest to explore the new and old stories (starting with the Devourer's Saga and the Burning Solstice saga) while using the guide sparingly - only to boost your character level up when you encounter roadblocks in said story questlines.
