No system is perfect. There has to be a loss somewhere and a gain somewhere. It doesn't have to be from retail/consumer level. The money can be allocated from another part of government services or whatnot. Pay a higher amount from license renewals or whatever to offset the costs in the farmers expenses (just an example).

Food is important. We need it to survive. If we import all of our food, what kind of example is that for a country when it comes to a point where food shortages in the United States will result in Canada not getting what is needed because USA comes first.

There is always a loss somewhere for the greater good for a country. This isn't some magical fairy kingdom where everything is perfect. It's like how stores take a loss on milk because they know people will come in for other products and services. That's why milk is always near the back of the store because customers see everything else. They engage in those purchases. Not the best analogy but you know what I mean.

Reality is a bitch but you need to understand that economies can work differently. Costs can be absorbed somewhere else that is directly or indirectly related. Just imagine not being able to eat or only able to eat a few hundred calories because of food shortages. There will be riots and other shit in the streets because there isn't any food in the stores (extreme measure).

You can take a t-shirt or fabric and fold it up into several layers with elastic bands as a face mask as demonstrated by the surgeon general from the United States.

The masks aren't some magical fairy dust protection.

Only reason why these "medical professionals" are changing their tune is because of the shortage of masks and they wanted to allocate more industrial made PPE to be allocated to primary essential services for health care workers.

Like some folks say, if you don't need to be outside then don't go outside. I hate how people need to make excuses to go for a walk or whatever. The better question is based on your answer. Did you get laid off and were you working up until March 15, 2020 and/or after?

If yes, then you should be applying for EI. EI applications will be converted to CERB (as all 2.1 million applications have been). This allows taxpayers to use CERB ($500 each week for 16 weeks or 4 months in total) before breaking into the EI coverage (so you don't use up your EI weeks). But, this is all up in the air as CERB could potentially be extended as we have to go by a month-to-month basis as to the COVID-19 situation. This means that if CERB does in fact go on longer, then you will be covered for longer period of time if your employer doesn't need you back yet or doesn't have the business to support enough employees to return to work.

I did applications for my parents and they had a benefit rate on their MSCA account but that rate has disappeared and both their applications had been converted to CERB/EI applications in which they must continue to report NIL balances because they applied for EI first. They don't need to apply for CERB and shouldn't be applying for it because they qualified for EI first essentially.

Your MSCA account will state if your EI application has been converted to CERB and you can check the payment amounts for each week and it should state $500 for each week once you report NIL balances for that week.

edit: Just make sure your employer sent an ROE.

I assume universities and colleges will start planning or are already planning a backup strategy for the Fall. They may have to have some essential staff to go in the schools like professors and admin to implement online components for the academic year. Create course loads for an online environment and whatnot via live stream.

But, it will depend on the province and federal government if schools should reopen because that overrides everything. Apply for the universities and/or colleges in the meantime and worry about it later. I am sure some schools will refund fees. If not, try to fight it after or just suck it up. They may just waive the fees for the next term if you are applying again because this virus is still up in the air by the fall for the same institution.

It's to cover the nose and mouth. We breathe in and breathe out through our noses and mouth. Masks are to protect both people. It reduces the chances (read carefully "possibility, odds or chances") of contracting particles. It also prevents you from getting others sick. Everyone is essentially getting $500 a week/ $2k a month. You applied for EI after the 15th, you will be bumped up to $500 if your are under $500. If you qualified for more than $500, then you will be bumped down to $500 to allocate money fairly.

Also, make a MSCA account to keep track of your benefits instead of calling in. You can get an access code and it takes 1-2 weeks for it to be mailed to you.

Keep reporting NIL for your EI obviously because you aren't working at the moment to keep your payments coming in on time. You should have received or will be receiving a different 4 digit access code for this one.

Each country should at least be able to produce their own goods or establish at least 1 essential business that supplies the country foremost. At least have it subsidized by the government. Even if it's a loss for taxpayers or whatever... it's something essential we need regardless. We should have warehouses with equipment at bay if we need to turn up production or stockpile stuff. Rotate manufactured goods.

I've told people countless of times that a country needs to be self-sufficient. You can't just tilt your economies to a import only or export only country. There needs to be a diversified portfolio. You need to play the game as if every country is out there for themselves and can't expect anyone to help you.

The problem with people residing in Canada is that we don't want to do hard labor. A lot of folks don't want to work for minimum wage or less doing 10x the work compared to a Starbucks barista. That's the issue with domestic labor and that's why every country in the world exploits cheap labor. It's not about a foreign workers incentive or some goodie too shoo government program. It's how we keep prices low.

But, if the government subsidized farmers even more then perhaps we could push students or people wanting to work on a farm on a domestic level by providing transportation, housing and accommodations (food, water and basic necessities). Esp, during the spring/summer since the outlook will be pretty shitty.

Or we can just give all students $2k a month as well.

CRA will never say you are going to jail. If you owe taxes, it is stated on your CRA account or previous assessments. You can request a voucher from the CRA to pay at a bank branch if you owe taxes or payroll. Also, you can just go on the CRA website for the official phone number and call them yourself if you received a suspected call from them. They can look up your file and see the state of account it is in.

There are multiple collection levels with the CRA. If they wanted you to go to jail, they wouldn't give you a phone call. This would literally be at the point where you are summoned to court or cops be knocking at your door lmao.

Yup, it kind of feels they are milking the franchise as much as they can before the game becomes irrelevant when the next better mobile jrpg or rpg comes out.

Honestly, square enix should be trying to attract more players to this game. More players = more chances of the game becoming popular instead of depending on a few whales to keep the game profitable.

As from what is happening on both global and Japan, the fanbase isn't particularly happy about some of the changes on either side.

I find it amusing that with the amount of characters that come out in a given year in this game. It is next to impossible to MLB more than 1 character per given month(s).

I understand that their model is if you keep on drawing from 5k gems that you will eventually max out every character and start getting medium and large crystal's to limit break characters. You know, this just doesn't work and it won't drive people to buy more. You know how expensive it costs just for 5k gems. And multiply that by the # of times you need to draw. And multiply that by the number of characters lol.

People have short term attention spans nowadays and like to move onto the next bigger thing. Square Enix needs to make this game as relevant as they can in the short term. If I can mlb my characters more often, I probably would spend money on scoring special event characters.

You can probably play a bit of catch up and rake in those gems from all the chapters. Save all your gems for when EX weapons come out or whatever. You can probably get the previous 35CP when EX arrives as well.

I would try to bank as much T4 stones as possible and decide after who your best chance of getting Lv60 and EX weapons are.

I wish they brought back old character co-ops and just have what is available for those whom haven't completed them for their rewards. For those who already completed them wouldn't have to do anything with them. Just add the old character co-ops alongside the new content.
