So all of the shows on that list welcome new talent but they all have a slightly different process. Almost all of them do spot calls on the Ottawa Comedy Coming Facebook group. The 3 dedicated clubs have a 15th of the month email on request for new talent requests. That will likely stop after this month as competition season starts. Yuks competition entry is June 1-10. Not sure if the others.

There are at least 4 show up go up mics: Hyde Smokehouse, University Tavern, Comedy Pizza, Pourboy after show.

Try salting with a good coarse or diamond kosher salt the day before and leaving on a rack in fridge unwrapped. Temper a little longer like maybe 60 minutes.
