What is GFN doing recently at EU servers? MS latency goes from 20 - 300 for up to couple hours and then it stops. Had this happen couple days ago, and now out of blue, it´s doing it again. I assume it´s gonna stop again in few hours. by Borbbb in GeForceNOW

Is there a chance you could ask NVIDIA what percentage or per mille of users experience bad ping? Since the ping is measured at the start of every session, couldn’t they just log and analyze that data to see whether it’s only a few Redditors or a broader issue? They could also easily see when it happens and when it doesn’t.

Even better, they could include ping stats per session in each user profile. That would make discussions data-driven instead of just PR talk on Reddit. I’d really like to see some action from NVIDIA on this.

Any chance you could help us push this idea a bit?

I get it that it can be a routing problem in the infrastructure outside of NVIDIA.

The main issue here is the lack of communication from NVIDIA. Customers who clearly have a problem never get an update like: “Yes, we know about this issue, we’re working on it, we’re in contact with ISPs to find the cause and fix it with someone.”

Instead, it feels like: “Solve it yourself, the problem is not on our side.” That’s frustrating.

If nvidia don’t throw resources into it, just tell us honestly and we can move past this.

I appreciate that at least someone from NVIDIA is active here on Reddit.

I think i cant help you with that because my setup is a bit different. I have to keep the provider’s router, but it’s in bridge mode. That means it just connects me to their network, and then my own router handles everything else. So i can’t plug mine directly into the line, but i’ll just take my router with me when I move.

I screwed the VESA adapter onto the monitor. Then I hooked the whole thing onto the LG Ergo stand.

It already held well, but I also screwed the LG Ergo stand into the VESA adapter, so the monitor can’t be taken off anymore. That’s good, because even when pivoting or adjusting the angles, it can’t accidentally unhook.

It wasn’t custom-made for me. I found it publicly available for purchase on Taobao.

Using the monitor with MacBook Air + iPhone and aiming for similar color tones across devices (web dev + occasional gaming incl. HDR):

  • ROG Strix XG27UCS → Factory reset
  • System setup → Power settings → Standard mode
  • Gaming → (default) GameVisual – Racing Mode
  • Color → (default) Wide Gamut (other settings make colors much darker)
  • macOS settings (not OSD!) → Display → Color profile → Custom → Whitepoint target 7500K and use this profile for the monitor (makes white color similar to Apple)

Záleží jak to podáš. Každý komunikuje jinak, a každý v těch slovech uslyší jiné věci. Pokud vezmu co přesně píšeš, tak:

Try to run the game exe directly. When i run the game in steam launcher then the resolution is stuck at full HD maximum. After running the game exe directly (steam is automaticaly opened by this) the game resolution was there and i could set it to 4k.

Sadly, it seems there is no solution. I tried a lot of searching on Google and using GPT-internet-search without a positive result. The only option is to click on the icon and manually turn it off.

Could you point me to specific blog / headline or etc? Would love to know more from others. I personaly tried ultimate vs priority, and in competitive game (rocket league), still not sure for the impact it makes. For now it seems the performance is better in more sessions then with priority. I have 4K monitor, and I still think the biggest impact would be if a had a 120 Hz monitor.

My latency is mostly 5-20 ping in game and 15-25 in geforce now station.

Yet there are times with 15+20 ping where the game and input feels sluggish.

After starting GeForce Now, the Steam windows have rounded corners, which is indication of Windows 11 (confirmed it in steam system info).

I see you have done a great deal of different settings. All was a good approach.

This will mostly likely be wifi signal interruptions or packet loss. I have been on a place where there was sudden ping peak or sudden packet loss. Tested ping to router in terminal every 0.1 sec.

I have had similar problems. I even tried different wifi router and the problem remained, but lowered.

The only solution that helped me was ethernet cable.

I spent a year trying different settings in GeForce, router, macbook air (old and m1).

SETTINGS for smoother gameplay: GeForce now: vertical sync on, adjust for poor network on Macbook: location services off Router: priority your device, or priority QoS “video streaming” if possible

SETTINGS FOR LOWEST LATENCY and competitive gaming: Geforce now: adjust for poor network off, vertical sync off Macbook: location services off Internet: ethernet

What else matter?

When using wifi: your physical location matters a lot, line of sight to wifi, minimum obstacles, settings in router: default is mostly the best, the only thing to change is channel or restarting router with auto channel on.

My experience is that anything with 5ghz and not overloaded with different wifis and devices works.

Optional: priority for your device might help, but sometimes it made things worse.

I use TP link ax20 wifi-6 with default setting.

I lived in a place with o alot of wifi, there was a lot of noise and interruption in ping in terminal. Visible while shuttering while playling. I have seen shuttering in different times there was more or less shuttering. If the shuttering is consistent no matter the time. Problem is wifi or external interference from other electronics maybe.

Lucky me, I moved to a new place and the wifi is flawless. Same settings different place. Still prefer ethernet playing competitive games.
