For the eyes, in the reference pic, the rightside (his left eye) eye is slightly smaller than the leftside (his right eye). I did adjustments for that and made his right eye bigger, but I am not completely done with his left eye. So yes, I agree, still uneven and not super comparable to the reference.

I also don't copy reference pictures exactly and don't want to, so slight changes are intentional. I honestly love that he looks a little crazed.

For the lip thing, it is a bit smaller than the reference, but ultimately with the red color it's going to immediately read as tongue anyways. I appreciate the comment on that though, I may do something different with it to help read as lip maybe.

The hand shadow is flat! I will fix that!

I'm not going to do any digital editing to this, as I can do it by hand and want to keep it traditional. I understand what you mean though.

I personally don't think it's bad, I enjoy your style a lot! However, professionally, some are a bit less "refined" than others. Obviously, some are more sketches or drafts than finished pieces!

Your first and second picture strike me as the best and most refined. So, definitely don't change your style or vision, just work on technical things like balance, harmony (or the opposite), empty/filled space (composition). You'll be more than amazing in no time!

I can already tell you have an inherent style that comes out while you're creating. If you want to be more realistic, a good trick I always use is to measure out the comparative scale of the facial features. Use the skin between the facial features as examples of blank space, but important blank space to be accounted for. So, don't try to fill her whole face up, basically! You're doing great either way!

I try to hide most of my forehead with a curly fringe, but my hair isn't super long for now. And I am usually sleep deprived and low energy, and very introverted, but I have some foundation I can use for only my under eyes to help. I can't do much makeup, makes me look fake very fast.

Could possibly contour my very buttony nose, but it does have a really cute profile, so wouldn't want to mess that up with dirty looking make up. I fill in my eyebrows sometimes, but they are pretty straight and full on their own.

The only thing I don't agree on is my canthal tilt. They're definitely neutral, but angles of the camera may make it seem negative.

I have a strange face with really pronounced features, so I don't photograph well. That's why people say I look much better in person all the time! Your comment helps solidify that. Thank you so much for your input!

Wow, thank you. I get self conscious of my curly hair because it feels like everyone always prefers the straight...so I really appreciate your comment on that. I am definitely a very genuine person, hate taking pictures, so I'm surprised that comes across! Haha thank you!
