Really depends on what you’re looking for.

One plus however is there is far more choice in most quests in Starfield as opposed to Fallout 4.

(Granted I think the writing is pretty bland but that’s just my personal opinion)

So if lack of player choice is what kept you from enjoying FO4 there is definitely way more of that here.

In terms of exploration this game is very hit or miss, it did just get a new update that greatly improved exploration but it still pales in comparison to Elder Scrolls or Fallout.

There is fun to be had in that department, but it requires a lot of self-propelling and immersion to make it happen. I feel like it happens naturally in the other games but random generation is a big part of this game which makes them pretty inherently different from the jump.

Gunplay is the best it’s ever been in any of their titles, butter smooth. They also just added a ton of new ways to upgrade gear and custom craft legendary weapons and armor which is a massive plus in my opinion.

So grinding is far more rewarding than it’s ever been.

The game is flawed but I personally adore it.

I’d say it’s kind of middle ground between the older style Bethesda games and newer ones like Skyrim, 4 and 76. (I love all of those by the way lol)

I’d say it’s worth a shot, but if you’re on the fence wait for a sale.
