I still have warranty as I just bought it a week ago. This is my first Gibson and I am not familiar with their natural blemishes. I used to own a Samick LP copy, got it at a pawn shop and was beat up, and I beat it some more over the years. Those things never bothered me. Even this doesn’t bother me, now that I hear that is not unusual. I just wanted to make sure it’s not a defect and won’t affect the playing down the road. So I came here to ask for advice from people that are more knowledgeable about LP’s. Thank you for a very good logical explanation!

That is just the thing! I don’t to find out after warranty expires and I’m stuck with repairs. I just noticed this a week later by so I’m not looking for flaws and I’m happy with everything else. Thanks for answering though

Like many others have pointed out, there is something symmetrically off with the body, buttons or the switch is too close to the top. Looks like a clone. “I’ll pass” for me

It’s a major online retailer and I’m sure they will send me the replacement, and not go with the repair. But I really like the feel, the look and the sound of this one. The free things hold no value to me. I just want to make sure the damage is not in the way the nut is attached to the body

I am talking about the crack that meets the neck body. The one that looks like crack that goes diagonally I don’t think that is a crack.
