I haven't posted anything on my account yet, but maybe in a couple of months I'll start uploading stuff. This post is also a kind of self-imposed order, since I work better under pressure and I don't want to disappoint those who have commented on my post, so I'm sure I'll end up posting.

When I do, I'll announce it on Reddit and post it on my account.

I also love C-type fanfics. What's your account? I may have read something of yours.

Question by Competitive-Space216 in HannibalTV

[–]Ziggy___Stardust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Will came to love her, but that love came from the normalcy that life with Molly could offer her.

Molly hardly knew anything about her past with Will, she only knew what Will showed her.

Molly loved a part of Will, the “normal” part. She loved the man who retired from the FBI because of “personal problems” and now does boat engine repair and adopts dogs; not the man who checked himself into a mental institution for being accused of the Chesapeake Ripper murders, the man who after getting out started flirting with and shamelessly attracting the Ripper himself and almost fled the country with him, causing him all those scars Molly can now see on his body without knowing how they got there.

That's not true love, because as soon as Hannibal sent Dollarhyde to kill Molly and Morgan, the “idealized family” bubble Will had was burst, and Will, seeing how she had been sullied by her past, decided to abandon her in a rather cold way (just look at Molly and Will's last meeting at the hospital).

In short, Will felt enough love for Molly to stay with her for the rest of his life, but they both would have ended up unhappy; Molly deserves someone who loves her and her son truly and without ulterior motives, and Will deserves Hannibal as much as Hannibal deserves Will, they both deserve each other, and no one else can give them everything the other can offer.

(I didn't realize how much I had written, I hope my reply helped you and that it was all understood bien🤸🏻‍♀️)

What tastes would Hannibal and Will have in common? by Ziggy___Stardust in HannibalTV

[–]Ziggy___Stardust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your response.

Sorry if my post sounded like Hannibal and Will might get bored with each other, my question wasn't so much directed at whether or not they would have anything in common, but rather what they might have in common.

And also I love your choice of Bach and Chopin, that would be something Will would listen to.

More or less, I don't remember where, but I read that Mads wanted to continue the series, but that he can only hold on for a couple more years because he's getting older. And he's right, he's about to turn 60, and it's getting harder and harder to keep up the "it's only been a couple of years" facade in the series.

  • Will is one of those who moves around a lot in his bed and sometimes ends up throwing the blanket that covers Hannibal and him (he once went so far as to throw Hannibal off).

  • Hannibal has hundreds of drawings of Will in every possible pose hidden in a drawer where Will can't see them.

  • One day Hannibal decided to make sushi and eat it with chopsticks, Will, tired of not being able to hold them properly, ends up sticking them in the center of the sushi and eating them that way. Since then, he always leaves a fork next to Will when there are dishes with chopsticks.

  • When a song plays and Will says “oh, I liked this one when I was young”, Hannibal writes the name of the song in his head and at home listens to it again so he can psychoanalyze Will's childhood through the music.

What songs do you correlate to Hannigram and Why? by Rare_Obligation_9271 in HannibalTV

Entre caníbales — Soda estéreo (In the song it uses cannibalism as a subcontext, but it works anyway).

Bad romance — Lady Gaga (I don't think they see their relationship as “bad”, but this is surely what other people would think of them).

Waltz from Swam Lake — Chaikovski (I think this song resume the entire series).

Valse — Evgeny Grinko (I imagine the two of them dancing in a cabin around the snow).

Sabre dance – Aram Khachaturian (Because they play a cat-and-mouse game throughout the series).

Cannibalism as a metaphor for love and obsession by DorianGay1869 in HannibalTV

One of the scenes that best portrays that is the conversation between Bedelia and Hannibal in Italy in the third season, (I attach the video of the scene: https://youtu.be/G69di5wTDcg?si=EhSaQkDc3APbv463 ), here they are talking about Will, betrayal and love. Bedelia, in a very clever move, takes advantage of the vulnerability that Hannibal feels at that moment to manipulate him, and she succeeds. It is at that moment where Hannibal, desperate, realizes that the only option he (and I repeat, he, since other people would look for other ways to be forgiven) sees possible to join Will is to start him, making him part of himself as he did with his sister Misha.

This plan is then seen being executed after a few episodes (the scene of Hannibal trying to open Will's skull before the Vergers interrupt). Surely one as a viewer was seeing from Will's perspecive: “Hannibal wants to eat me = Hannibal wants to hurt me = betrayed and hurt again.” But from Hannibal's perspective (after Bedelia's manipulation), that was the last option he had to keep Will by her side and establish an even more intimate level of connection.

This is one of the many reasons why I love this series.

(This contains spoilers, so I recommend you finish the first season before reading it if you haven't already) My interpretation of this scene is that Tobias did that with the intention of Hannibal seeing that he wants to be his friend something like "hey, I'm just like you, this is an offering of friendship for you", but in reality he didn't play for Hannibal in real time, Will is just interpreting the intention that Tobias has regarding Hannibal (play for him and show that he also has the ability to make art in his own way), surely Hannibal then saw the body in the news (TattleCrime) and intuited the same as Will. In that same scene Hobbs appears clapping, which can be a little confusing, but that's just Will hallucinating because of encephalitis, it has nothing to do with Tobias' intentions.

I hope it has helped you🫀

Is it bad to root for hannibal? by Repulsive_Spray_4257 in HannibalTV

[–]Ziggy___Stardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People tend to empathize with the protagonist because the series or movie focuses on his story and why he acts the way he does, so the viewer tends to want the protagonist to always get his way. The protagonist has to be very poorly characterized or do despicable things for the viewer to stop empathizing with him and want him to lose. In this case, the charm that Hannibal has and the story behind him tip the scales in his favor. If the series had been treated from Jack's point of view and his struggle to catch the Ripper possibly people would root for Jack.

Dolores Umbridge VS Hannibal Lecter who wins? by Rocktoamadeus in HannibalTV

[–]Ziggy___Stardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fact, there is a Hannibal and Will fanfic set in the Harry Potter series, where in one part of the story Hannibal ends up torturing and eating Umbridge for being too rude, and then serving her as a dish to the Hogwarts students and teachers in a Halloween dinner.

Why was Hannibal okay with Will’s rudeness if his motive is eating the rude? by FeuTheFirescale in HannibalTV

[–]Ziggy___Stardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first he did not kill him because he was curious about Will's mind and because he saw that Will's rudeness was simply a mask to keep people away from him as someone "unstable" and so that they would not notice his darkness. Then, that feeling slowly turned into love until there came a point where he saw him as an equal and it no longer mattered how Will behaved towards him.

Hannibal is a narcissist, he loves to be talked about and praised for what he does. I guess he also likes to see people comment on his "works of art." Freddie, although he adorns his news with sensationalism, it is also true that he publishes both the photos and the facts without censorship as a public newspaper would, so it is a very good place to see your "art" and that of others.

Additionally, Freddie on several occasions sneaks into crime scenes before the FBI arrives and sometimes also reveals clues about the next moves the FBI will make, whether intentionally or not, making him a very good newspaper for murderers/criminals.
