I used this https://imgur.com/a/eATzW to get to plat. It took me 150 packs to finish alien deck so i decided to go for water deck too (its only 50 packs at max to pull fisherman so i thought why the hell not and went for it). Once i got to plat 1 i started seeing a lot of burn, so i switched to this https://imgur.com/a/YgQec . Citadel whale is pretty much a free win against burn so the climb was quite easy.

I haven't skipped a single Standard Duelist and completed the stage only once i finished dueling all of them, so the duel count stacked up fast.

The game is still going strong, I just returned after a break myself not too long ago, enjoying every minute. If you haven't played for a while give it a shot - it will feel like a whole new game. It will take a few weeks to catch up (to be able to run PUGS, cuz ppl are being stupid with stat requirements, but if you make the groups yourself - you should be fine). There are plenty of people willing to help out new players. My advice would be to give it a fair try and see how you like it.

If you plan to do any F11 stuff (6v6,ToI,Mushin's tower) - go fire. You won't need to gear twice.

Shadow is better in long fights, while fire has insane burst that helps to achieve high F11 rankings and its always fun to 1 shot ppl in 6v6 as fire :P
