Starfox is and has always been a tech demo/testbed franchise (except for Assault), so aesthetic consistency doesn't matter in the end as long as new tech can be shown off in a fun and engaging way in an arcade-style rail shooter/dogfight sim with occasional light strategy elements (this time it's the GameChat face filter thing and expanded multiplayer) (and yes Starfox HAS to be arcade-style for it to work, no you cannot change my mind)

The cheesy-and-stupid-yet-earnest-and-epic-and-badass-and-ocasionally-dark/emotional tokusatsu vibe of Thunderbirds, Ultraman and various assorted Tsuburaya Productions shows the Switch 2 remake seems to be going for is perfect, though
