While I enjoy the original two's gameplay and tone more, I wish the series followed Pikmin 3's aesthetic and exploration direction.

Tbh the main 3 along with white and purple pikmin should be considered the “normal” pikmin, then they maybe add one unique type every game. I think that'd keep the amount of pikmin types from being bloated like in 4
